Wouldn't know, i don't read it. But plenty of trash in the SMH.
Cully wrote one praising Kerevi (most would agree on here) and Wayne Smith suggested a calming and more steady Cooper could be the key to taking the Wallabies to a final, based on history in those tournaments.
Both seemed pretty measured to me.

Fair enough - I find it a bit over the top to start talking about a RWC final.

Jesus, Derp, let the more optimistic among us have our moments. Just for once. The Wallabies are winning, the sun is shining and life is good.

He wasn't saying we will win the World Cup, in fact that wasn't really a factor in the article at all. It was just to say our prospects look good in the longer term. And you know what - he's right!

It's nice to be excited about the future of this team. We *could* be really good. And really that's why we do this whole thing, so I'm happy to ride the wave of positivity.

Yeah I guess I can reel in the miserable-cnut-y-ness a little bit.

This is completely off to the side but there was a moment in the broadcast where they were talking to Horan and Campese and I was a bit shocked how old Campo looked. He looked like he could be Horan's father.

There's 7 and a half years between them.

On that topic, Campo would have to be the worst presenter on the Stan broadcast (and that includes SBW) - he's not a comfortable speaker, doesn't understand the modern game and most of his input are platitudes like 'run at space not bodies' and 'play what's in front of you'.

At least the current players actually like SBW.

Have to say,

:D And to think how many times I (and Bullrush I think) have been rubbished for saying there was a lot of potential in the Wallabies, and I got rubbished for it last year too!!;)

While Stan/Nine has been good for Rugby, I've noticed quite a lot of haters out there for their coverage of the round ball game.

I didn't think there would be much or any local coverage of the Champions League. Isn't all that done in Europe and local networks just distribute it?

Or are we still rolling out Bosnic to see what he has to say about things?

I wouldn't even know where to go to notice said haters.
Comments on their Instagram posts advertisings the UCL etc. Lots of people saying to give it back to Optus.

Not sure - lot of people complaining that there is no punditry before/after games and at half time. So possibly they're just getting the game feed?

Yeah the Optus 'coverage' of the EPL just incorporates regular English punditry. Maybe that's how the EPL chooses to sell its right. Although i think there might be some other content - a wrap up or something.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but number three for now.

The ranking system is the ranking system we've got. It's not that it isn't good, on the whole it stands up to scrutiny. The issue we have is how being segregated from NH tests for so long. The number of test we have against the ABs is a real negative to the ranking, given our comparative standing. But two wins against the then world champion #1 team has a massive swing the other way.

France helped also but not their top 23.

In some way s the current ranking flatters. We'll know more accurately after the EOYT.
