Reckon this game was another argument for the BB style penalty counter.
If it wasn't for that intentional knock down I wouldn't be too worried about it. However with awarding a card after 4 min you would think being consistent the blues would have had a couple more.

Prior lost that at the end by slowing the ball down as much as possible ten meters out. I don’t understand why any half back would ever do that. Genia was also occasionally guilty of doing the same thing. But then he would pull out some completely out-of-the-arse play to justify (be forgiven for) it. But unless you are Genia, you don’t stop and wait for their defence to re-form after each play. Play it safe, of course, pass it to the forwards and keep ball in hand, but do so quickly so you can draw in their defensive lines until someone is out of position. Prior is a more experienced and rounded player than Isaac Fines. And maybe Fines wouldn’t have had the discipline and patience that got them within 10 meters. But Prior completely misplayed it once he got into the 10. Fast attacking play would have allowed them less time to reposition, and would have had a good chance of either a try or more likely a penalty. But slowing it down at each phase until their defence was completely settle was pretty much akin to completely giving up.

Re-reading my post, it seems like I am fairly calm. I’m not. I’m frustrated as hell, why the fuck did he do that.

Because kicking was not going to win us the game I was supposed prior come on

I’m upset because I needed the win. But as cliche as it is to say this one was a good loss. Force got them selves back in it. Let’s hope they build on this and take it too the crusaders next week too.

Thrush without his moustache was interesting I thought it’s was a new debutant lol

A great gritty all guts performance from the Force. We lost but I'm all in on the effort. Plenty to build on. We have some good young players in Fines, Kuenzle, Pasitoa, Masibaka. Couple with some veterans and big signings next year and anything can happen. Let's close out the year with the same effort, take a couple of Kiwi scalps and launch into 2023. Just my opinion but the Force get the best veteran players....they buy into the club, compete there asses off and just add to the fabric of the Force culture. Couldn't be prouder of the guys. Go you Force!

Well f*** me that was somewhat closer than I thought it would be. Blues looked like they were bumbling everything, and then if you watch properly you can see that Force were making them ,they were tearing into it like you should in a rugby game. I know it wasn't always top quality rugby, but I thoroughly enjoy seeing teams give it everything they capable of, and was even thinking at end I would of not been to upset if Blues lost as Force played so well!
I have to add I continue to like what young Segner does on the rugby field for Blues, he doesn't stop, even though he looks like he is a member of the Aryan brotherhood, blond crew cut etc etc, could play the part of one of Hitler's henchmen without any make up! ;) :p

Well that was uncomfortably close. Defence turned back on at the end when it was required again, so that's something I guess.
Fact is the force could have won that as last conversion didn’t hit the post and take the last penalty for shot of goal instead of final attack on the tryline. In fairness everyone including me had probably written off the force after half time including Stan commentators. I had gone to bed at 22-8 expecting blues to kick on and just got watched final 30 minutes just then. Force definitely stood up with replacements making a difference and more aggressive defence and hunger is what also made blues splutter.

well done force gutsy performance and anyone could have won that and unfortunately force came on wrong side of ledger by game of inches

I went to bed at half time because I didn't want to witness a massacre before going to sleep. Oh, me of little faith. Watched the second half this morning. Well done boys, proud of your effort.
If we are going to stand a chance against the Saders next week will have to figure out how to deal with a rush defence and also figure out how to stop every scrum becoming a penalty against us. These were real momentum killers. Masibaka seemed to enjoy his first run in Super rugby. Hopefully he will get more game time. I think Kuenzle has a lot of potential. If he is going to be our kicker maybe he needs the old-fashioned hours of practice after training until it just becomes rote. At this level you really need someone who can slot them from any angle. All in all I was pretty chuffed this morning watching the second half.

Legendary goalline stand from the Blues at the death.

26 phases.

LOL. It's like watching an adult trying to reason with a petulant toddler.
You are a dismal pillock
