Bledisloe III at Perth, 5/09/21 - 4pm AEST

After all this build up I will be very disappointed if Kerevi is not starting with Rodda, Cooper and Kaituu on the bench. We need to try something different now. Would be happy for Hodge to get a shot at 15 as well

I wonder where all our mystery selections have been actually training?
It's as though the Perth isolation has spread to the rugby media and no-one is asking questions, visiting training, or flying a drone over the training paddock.
Usually there is some idea about selectors' thinking from those kitted out in different coloured flouro vests.

Immediately went to place all Cantabs "On Report"... but their little team logos to the right of the screen have all gone!

Time for a Mcarthy Commission of Enquiry.

"I swear I am not a Cantab, so help me God".
I thought Australia is already run on Mcarthyism? Sure feels like it.

Plumtree did a media zoom yesterday & indicated that whereas there obviously have to be changes due to absences they won't be "going silly" as they did in Brisbane last year (last part my words not his :)).

Plum said AL-B is fit again so will presumably either start at 13 or cover midfield from the bench & he hinted that JBar will be 15. Other than that you'd hope from an AB pov that it's just swapping in ScoBar for SamW etc & some consequent changes to the bench.

Quade can probably - run faster then noah, stronger then noah, pass better then noah, kick better then noah, have better vision then noah, have better communication then noah and have better decision making skills and experience then noah.

Yeh I wouldn't pick him either.

This is a massive over exaggeration, but I REALLY don't think Noah is all that special. He is like Foley lite, without the initial 7s experience.
At his best, Foley was okay. Everybody gets excited about the 10 slot because it is so important. Sadly for us there are probably 20 players running around in the NRL who could do the job, after a season or so of acclimatisation.

I quite liked Donaldson, the little that I have seen of him.

I don't think this is true, really. I think it would take a lot of adjusting.

No doubt guys like Cleary are light years ahead of Noah etc in ability to perform their role though.

How many ex-rugby inside backs are running around in the NRL?

I like Donaldson. I would like to see him playing a bit more at flyhalf next year. The race will be on for him and Harrison.

Looks like an average, middle-of-the-table Super rugby team.

What an insult. The arrogance of the Kiwis these days knows no bounds. Kick them out I say. Not in MY Australia.

Instead of playing one man short in the starting like the last test in Perth when Scott Barrett got red carded - this time the ABs have chosen to play one man down on the bench with the selection of Bridge.....

Even more so … should they win!
