Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

ABs back to capitalising on opportunities better than anyone. Saffa suffocation game plan is the way to go against them (need the kickers though).

all blacks replaced the old blacks and normal service resumed.

And the Wallabies, true to form with Cheika at the helm, resurrect the 90 yo AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and the consistently ineffectual Simmons to take on the might of the world's best.

At least, this will put to bed those wacky Tahs supporters who have already been sprouting Cheika for the next 4 years. He really is not a coach's arsehole.

I think it's important not to overreact in a situation like this, rather like not overreacting last week. In Bled I, everything went right, tonight everything went wrong. That's footy. I think we've at least seen what these are capable of when they play at their best. Whether they can find another gear against the good sides remains to be seen, but I still think this is close to the best 23 they can put on the park. They're still decent footballers and now the task is to prepare them physically, mentally and with the game plan that could help them go deep in the RWC.

Those missed kicked and the two tries against the run of play in the first half knocked the stuffing out of them. They were never in it after that.

Yes. So what does that mean? I drop the dacks and touch my toes? I'm not allowed an opinion now?

My point is that in the interest of player safety, that clear out didn't even resemble dangerous. You lot are all bleating because he put his hand on top his shoulder and threw him to the ground. He didn't high shot him, he didn't neck roll him, he didn't throw him by the neck. Why you guys don't distinguish that difference is your prerogative I guess. It's also my opinion that the TMO should be able to tell the difference. The fact that Peyper literally said in his explanation "it was NEAR the neck" and "I warned you earlier" shows that the actual instance by itself needed some extra reasoning.

The point is that any tackle/clean out over the shoulder is regarded as high these days, and every player knows this even if some fans don't. Coles was also at fault by grabbing White between the legs, also a penalty/YC offense as dictated by WSR. Add it all together with the fact it was beyond the ruck, and Coles was very lucky to escape with only a YC.

Its laughable you think amything would have made a difference.

The camera panned across the Wallaby bench about 10mins into the game, and I’m by no means a body language expert but i have done a bit of study on it through work, and the body language of the wallaby bench definitely wasn’t one of confidence, and for a few it was oozing a defeated signal.

I don’t know what you can make of that, but i feel this game was lost before it even began because of the psychological edge of playing the All Blacks at Eden Park. The Wallabies dont just need a skills coach, they need a team of psychologist to sort their issues out.

Can you give one example of anyone, Tahs or not, claiming Cheika deserves 4 more years? Of course not, once again you have created your own narrative.

Some issues that arose again.........

- Our 13 saw very little ball
- LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is just not a test 6, and we were completely blown away at the breakdown
- Hodge's lack of pace exposed on a few occasions
- Beale runs very hot, or very cold......... and tonight it was the latter
- What happened to our scrum? A couple of questionable angles aside.........

tragic

Although the forwards lost us that game, unfortunately the only forward that has a better option in their position is LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto).
Beale is still dodgy under the high ball and will be targeted big time, Need to rethink him at FB.
Hodge is suspect positionally on the wing and too slow.
Otherwise I’m not sure we’ve got much else.
We only have the cattle to pull off the occasional win against the top sides. Last week was one of those occasions. This week is back to status quo.
Reality of Oz rugby unfortunately

Leaving aside the ABs well deserved dominance...

I counted about 5 line breaks where there was no one in support and we got turned over
We didn’t challenge any of the kick offs and allowed the AB player to take the ball cleanly
We allowed the AB player to attack the ball without a clean out on at least a dozen occasions

These aren’t skill deficits, they’re EFFORT deficits

At the same time, you’ve got Kafe, Genia etc coming up with ‘technical’ reasons why they lost 40-zip

Fucking pathetic. If you don’t want the jersey, hand it to somebody who does.

Yes, yes, and yes.........

The lack of support play is really something that's let the Wobs down for years.

Come on, that’s not where it was lost. I noticed we picked up a bit when Tupou and To'omua came on for a couple of Brumbies, though.
