Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

Rebel man

John Thornett (49)
Haha fuck, Hodge found out he was playing flyhalf on Thursday morning. The ultimate supersub.
Should he play there for the Rebels? By no means a star there, but a good defender who can defend in the line doesn’t have any fancy ball playing skills but is a solid distributor

1 trick pony, he is going to run straight every touch. Love to see him step and pass occasionally and maybe even shape to kick

True, we needed his straight runs tonight though. Most of the time tonight it was the right option. Hopefully he builds more to his game, which for a young bloke, I'm sure he will.

Tonight just makes me think he's a perfect fullback. Depends if DHP is around and fit, To'omua as well and how this Carter Gordon goes.

I still think 12 or 15 is his position. Pick one and stick to it.

I have watched him for a few years now, he is incredibly powerful center and solid in defense. Rate him big time. Just needs to to develop his game beyond the crash ball

Hopefully Swinton can replicate his first 20mins and control his penalties/cards - then that's our backrow sorted and goodbye to Hanigan.

Hanigan was there because he could also play lock ala LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto). Different players with different virtues.

Justin Harrison comparing Marika Koribete to the farmers out in the bush will bloody do me.

Some of these blokes have lost so much touch with the rugby public and the people who actually watch the game, which is sad.

Still a raw and fairly crap Aus side BUT they showed if theyre all on the same page for 80 mins and playing for each other they can plug the gaps on D and take their chances when the other team is a braindead anaemic hot mess. Hodge was very handy.

I also hate how Kearns always says WE when referring to the Wallabies. Youre employed by Fox as a rugby commentator, not Wallaby supporter.

Anyway Uppa the Wobs!!!

Commentators mentioning fitness of Wallabies. Actually agree. When the game started I worried it would be one of those 20-30mins of hard tackling performances and then with fatigue the All Blacks would break away as they went up a gear. It was so important for the mental aspect that we hung in before the 1/2 time.
