he shouldnt have got the job in the first place, he only has it cos a few people in power had massive hard ons for him. i see him as the same sort of coach as mitchell, without an awesome squad (and the crusaders had depth up the ying yang) he cant really do much. we have had a full year of this and that, the EOYT was good but realistically, the france game was won by the ref, we beat italy in the last ten via a shephard and if anyone cant beat england currently they should stop playing. the results dont lie and you can bang on about culture or eras, eddie jones had success untill the wheels fell off, we dont view him as speacial!,

i dont see why we keep making excuses for whats happening, the wallabies play without a plan b, we kick when we have no chase, we play giteau as if he is the chosen one and he hasnt delivered against a quality side for a long time, we drop one player from the squad in palu that when you check the stats has a higher workrate than his replacement, we have pocock on the bench like were building to the world cup when he wont drop sharpe to blood someone that might help in the tight. its inconsistant and the same as it ever was. he aint the messiah, he is a kiwi on a f'n huge contract!

the job should have gone to ewen or another aussie, there is plenty out there, we just went for marketing over substance!

bullshit.
Deans got the job because he has an awesome record. 5 titles at super level is very impressive. yes he had a great but he also had a huge hand inm devloping them. To say that Ewen should have been picked is laughable. Ewen had great squads and couldn't win a title.
We don't view eddie jones as being special because he went from being the the Australia coach to reds and coached them to the most shameful years in their history.
The year before deans took over we had our equal worst result in any world cup. The next year we a had great EOYT. yes you can be be picky about how we won it. but if barnes had passed that ball you'd be talking differently about the whole thing. As for South Africa. This year we weren't beaten by 40+.
Palu has been dropped becaue he can only play one position. Brown, Smith and Pocock can play two each. it gives more cover. plus Palu has been awful when compaired to his form last year.

come monday there is room on the anti deans bandwagon for you my brother! palu has a higher workrate than brown if you look at the stats! brown plays positions but none of them at international standard, much like pocock!

i think an argument can be made for the fact that the "feel good" vibe of deans is more than the substance. if connoley was given as much political freedom as deans i think we would have seen a culture change as well. deans has been handed free reigns and he deserves alot more questions of his performance due to it.

i think our back row is short, i would prefer brown on the bench than pocock with palu starting (as a tahs and australian fan) if rocky doesnt last or deliver then were pretty much going to get hammered at the breakdown.

i know rocky came back with a huge reputation and such and as a tahs fan i love him to death ( or did) but why is he playing without playing club rugby first when everyone else has had to to be considered for a spot?

The thing is, we don't have much quality fit tall timber, but we have a load of energiser bunnies who play in the back row.

Randwick had a bye... seems kind of odd they couldn't slot him in at the Rats for a run...

It's the rucks where we keep getting beaten up by our forwards not arriving quick enough and in big enough numbers. And with this new law allowing the tackler to keep playing the ball that's a big deal - especially now that the saffers have a quality fetcher of their own for a change. I've never noticed Palu doing a lot to secure the ball there. He seems to prefer picking the ball up when (if!) it comes out and lumbering to the bottom of the next ruck (right next to the first one).

I guess he's just coming back from injury so he won't be 100% yet, and maybe getting dropped will be the kick in the arse he needs to get back to his best. He's a huge unit so he won't have much of a future as an off-the-bench player given that he can't play anything other than 8. And we really need some big, nasty players in the side. This wallabies team doesn't scare anyone. If he comes good and we can get Vickerman back into the side we'll have a pack to fear come the WC.

Wretched luck eh. The Hobbits are doing to us what we used to do to them - snatch victory at the last minute.
