Pretty surprised at how much slack Cheicka is given. Let's look at the run he's had:

1. Snuck over the line in the last minute vs the Boks in a place where we barely ever lose to them

2. Struggled until the last 20 vs the Pumas

3. Beat an average AB side

4. Got flogged by a good AB side

5. Barely any major injuries to the squad

6. Benefit of picking some overseas players

I don't thing he has done any better than any recent previous coach. In fact in some ways worse.

Who of us really thinks he picked the best side for tonight's game? Who thinks he should have started with the player that scares the ABs the most (Pocock)? Who thinks he should have give our likely best test match 10 a go at starting a game? Who thinks he should go into a game with no 9 reserve?

It is almost like he thought he couldn't win so picked an experimental team he could excuse for losing with.

Not the way I want my coach to act.

Bit harsh on Speight. He defended well at least (took Savea out of much of the game). Absolutely no opportunities on attack. Can't see either Horne, Mitchell or Tomane doing any better. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was worse then Speight.
Speight isn't in the team for his defence. He's supposed to be a game changer. If it ain't coming his way go find it. A S15 star but so far on international duties only a showcase for Vidal Sasson hair products. That is to say a waste of our time.

Yeah can't say that I've seen from Henry enough to suggest that he's a must pick for the RWC, especially given that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) surely has one wing spot locked up. I think he could well miss out.

Troubling given the lack of time till the WC. Is the Badger any chance of a recall. Is JOC (James O'Connor) totally gone? I think Drew Mitchell offers more and and has the added experience of playing in the northern hemisphere which will be invaluable. Just perplexed tonight at the lack of intent and intensity when such a big prize was up for grabs.

Badge didn't really do enough to warrant selection, even though I'm personally a big fan. JOC (James O'Connor) hasn't either, but if anyone is going to be that kind of left field selection it will be him.

Er, he often popped up on the left wing and midfield looking for work..............

He might not make the RWC Squad, but it's hard to be too critical on his performance in this match.........

Who of us really thinks he picked the best side for tonight's game?

Who of us really thinks we are in a position to pick a better side than the coach?

Seriously, have a think about the implications of your question, why bother paying a coach, just poll the G&G couch-coaches if you want to select a team that will beat the best team in the world, at their home fortress where they havent lost since richie was running round in shorts.

Maybe, maybe, just maybe the wobblies current form is a reflection of wobblies current talent versus that of the other teams playing rugby?

Except this game didn't really answer any questions in terms of team selections:

8. Higgers V McCalman V Palu - Poey will prob start but who's the backup?
9. Phipps V White - Who bloody knows
10. Cooper V Foley V To'omua V Gits - I dont know (is Lilo a chance?)
12. To'omua V Gits - don't know
14. Speight, Tomane, Horne - who ever misses out is pretty hard one by.

Is Skelton worth it? Douglas and Mumm didn't show much.

This game gave us more questions then answers.

Answers:

Speight out - Tomane in
Palu out - Vaea/Timani in

Maybe you should actually spend more time watching less rugby and less time coming up with these idiotic posts?
Mate take your brumbies blinkers off. He's been talked up and served up sweet FA so far. Given the importance of the game and his lack of any match time he didn't warrent being in the team IMO.

I don't think the selections would've made a difference...........

Maybe Pocock's ruck work would've been a slight improvement in the 80 mins (but not really made much difference), but they just blew us away all across the park.............

We couldn't get quick ball from the breakdown, and all of our runners were taking passes from a standing start, and our lineout was a failure, and we couldn't capitalise on a stronger scrum, and we couldn't exit our half, and our kicking was rubbish, and and and................

So far a better record than Link............

He's played 2 tests.....

Your bluster is a tired act.
