Fair enough mate...just out of interest, are you suggesting the ARU etc would not reveal the truth as they are worried about mums stopping kids from playing? Or suggesting Barnes and his team are in denial?

Complex one. To be honest, I don't think it's either of the above. I would call it a combination of selective hearing and doctor shopping. It's kind of like the climate change debate, maybe 80% of experts think one thing, another 20% think another. So if you ask around, you can always find someone who will say what you want to hear. Then the PR guys will trot that out to try and keep a positive spin on the story.

Whatever the case, clearly there's enough concern in camp Tah to stop him playing indefinitely for the time being, which suggests at least internally people have decided to read the writing on the wall.
