The bid’s investors would also fund a refurbishment of Ballymore to bring it to A-League standard, with the 18,000-capacity venue to host all of Brisbane City’s home games, including derbies.
The close proximity of their clubhouse at Spencer Park and plans for gourmet food trucks and improved public transport links could make Ballymore a distinctly different stadium experience to Suncorp Stadium.
Brisbane City FC have just announced a bid to join the A-League and are looking to play out of a refurbished Ballymore. Possibly late next year.

I think there could be improved public transport links across Breakfast Creek with Wilston Train Station, a more direct route between the two could make it 900m from station to stadium, which places it less then the distance between Suncorp and Roma St.
Also a bus station to facilitate a shuttle bus run between the Busway at Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and the stadium.

QRU have released some renders of the proposed development, $30million with a focus on ‘high performance’ rather then the stadium itself. Although McClean Stand would receive a makeover in the process..
Although these plans look remarkable similar to the plans devised in 2014, I think they may be the same ones.

QRU chief executive Richard Barker said he'd had "pretty positive conversations" with several Queensland ministers about their blueprint, as well as Stadiums Queensland, which could manage the stadium itself.
Brief talks have also been held with Football Federation Australia, which is bidding to host the Women's World Cup in 2023 and could stage matches there.
A-League aspirants Brisbane City, who plan to play home games at Ballymore if approved to join the competition in 2019-20, are also heavily invested.
It is understood Rugby Australia would move some of its national women's programs to Brisbane if Ballymore's training facilities were brought to an elite standard
