mid year-ishAnyone know what the expected completion date is as of now?
Yes and no. The redeveloped McClean stand will be the same capacity. So with all this redevelopment, will the capacity be the same?
How much will be the capacity with the full project? Once finishedThey’ve removed the stand at the northern end, it won’t be getting replaced. Eastern Stand remains but isn’t for for purpose until they get another cash injection to upgrade it. The hill remains.
Despite what official crowd capacity might be, I’d say its realistic capacity after development is 8-10k, until more money is expect upgrading the eastern stand and surrounding ammenities.
You'd think about 10-12,000. 3000 in the McLean, 2500 in the Eastern Concourse below the stand and (at the moment) 5000 in the Eastern Stand. Another 1500-2000 idiots on the Hill, depending on whether it's a Brothers game or notHow much will be the capacity with the full project? Once finished

That’s the Western Stand, the sun is not an issue for any game after midday, especially in winter.Looks great, but possibly the worst designed roof since the old SFS. Surely it should try to stop some rain or sun?
I wonder if this classification will help the push for funding to fix it up, rather than hinderBallymore capacity to be capped at 8000
Brisbane 2032’s hockey venue is likely to cost more than anticipated following revelations Ballymore’s eastern grandstand is no longer considered safe for use.www.austadiums.com

Certainly it helps in the sense that if something is to be done it will be done right. The big piece of the puzzle at the moment is probably what the Roar do, if they come back to Ballymore than that probably guarantees it'll get the funding for a rebuild.I wonder if this classification will help the push for funding to fix it up, rather than hinder
I hear Redcliffe's looking for a team that actually wants to be associated with them. Redcliffe Roar does have a ring to it...Certainly it helps in the sense that if something is to be done it will be done right. If you read the story I think you'll find it's not a "cap" but the capacity without the Eastern Stand being used (it's ...not exactly safe ). Using the lower concourse with the big "Ballymore" sign means you have about 5000 seats and another few thousand on the Hill etc.I wonder if this classification will help the push for funding to fix it up, rather than hinder
