Wouldn’t that get used for the soccer?that will be Suncorp Stadium

Ballymore is set to be temporarily converted to host the hockey for the Olympics. Sevens will likely also draw more then enough people to justify Suncorp.Would be great to see it host the Olympic sevens.
It’s not happening and the Rebels wouldn’t move thereNot sure where to post this.
This thread seems to be the closet I think, mods move if you want. Could not find a thread about future facilities.
Back to the post.
Anyone especially Victorians have any insight into this. Its a 15K sports stadium in Dandenong, what I have been told is Melbourne City have moved into this area and council is looking to get a rugby team as well to make up the financial numbers for a 100 million dollar build.
From the Stadiums Australia web page.

It’s proposed the Dandenong Sports and Events Centre would host football and rugby, as well as festivals and concerts, while also providing facilities for education, training, community outreach programs and conferences.
Look that’s a fair call, I have never been to the ground being a Victorian. Was just hoping to see it used for the OlympicsBallymore is set to be temporarily converted to host the hockey for the Olympics. Sevens will likely also draw more then enough people to justify Suncorp.

Fair call, makes a lot of senseprelims around the state (perhaps country). Finals at Suncorp, once rugby has finished. Plus they'll sell 52,000 tickets for each easy.

Nah. Rebels are already getting new training facilities built at LaTrobe Uni, they wont move home games from AAMI Park either.
And there is no way we are moving to Dandenong it would isolate a lot of our fan base that would simply not travel and hour plus out of the city to watch them. I would cancel my membershipLa Trobe uni is for RV & the women's side & hopefully Super W games. The Rebels with most of the players living in Richmond will still us Goshs paddock with the storm as a training field. Changing/video rooms at Aami park with the storm & share the weights facility with collingwood aflw at the lexus centre (if its still called that this week)
But as someone said prob not for this page

No way we are ever moving from AP.
Back to the topic will Reds games be at Bellymore with big games at Suncorp or all at Suncorp?
Do the reds own Ballymore?Nah, trial games at best.
Ballymore has no corporate facilities and access is much worse then Suncorp. Reds won’t leave Suncorp
Do the reds own Ballymore?
Probably need to refine that answer a bit.QRU own Ballymore yes
Probably need to refine that answer a bit.
QRU have a DOGIT i.e. Deed of Grant in Trust for (most of) that land from the state government.
That is a limited form of property right to use the land for, in this case, sporting purposes as defined in the grant.
It falls short of freehold where they can sell the land.
