With the four Australian teams all back on the paddock this weekend, who stood out for you? With 3/4 Australian teams winning it's actually quite hard to single some of the players out.

1.
2. TPN
3.
4.
5. Humphries
6. Higginbotham
7.
8. Palu

9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Mitchell
12. A. Fainga'a
13. Ioane
14.
15.

I think those players are certain, fill in the blanks? Forwards are hard to choose because both the Waratahs and Reds were immense.

11. Mitchell
12. Barnes
13. Ioane

Smith had a blinder I thought. Number 7 for him surely. Elsom and Higgginbotham is a toss up.

1. --Alexander by far.
2. --S. Fainga, I thought he was better then TPN this round.
3.
4. --Dean Mumm
5. Humphries
6. Higginbotham
7. --Smith, had a great game
8. Palu

9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Mitchell
12. A. Fainga'a, o'connor and lealiifano were pretty good too.
13. Ioane
14.
15.

not sure about the rest. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)/Hynes both average games, no way is it the force fullback however. Maybe fainifo or Morahan for the other wing spot. Probs Ma'afu for the other prop spot since i thought the brumbies forwards were pretty good but not definite on that, otherwise Baxter maybe.

1. Ben Alexander - Maybe
2. TPN
3. Al Baxter - Certain
4. Mumm - Certain
5. Douglas - If not then definitely on the bench and I'll go with Humphries.
6. Higgy
7. I would have to say Smith
8. Palu
9. Genia but Burgo did come close to replacing him (just by looking at this round's play)
10. I think Hangers could take Coopers place here.
11. Mitchell
12. A Finger
13. Diggers
14. Turner
15. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - By only looking at the Fullbacks.

I agree. Hangers over cooper? Hangers was average at best, he got lucky with bad decision making. Burgo wasnt even on the feild that long he didnt come close to genias standard.

I'm with fatprop in terms of selection, but with a small question mark over Cooper due to the small matter of his defence. Halangahu isn't flash but he does do the basics (plus some) pretty well.

There is a big question mark over Cooper and his defense, but in just about every other aspect he blows all the other Australian (and most of SANZAR) flyhalves out of the water.

Not to mention Douglad AND Mumm over Van Humphries.
Douglas and Mumm did actually play very well. Others mentioned Mumm, so not too left field. Van was good though.
Hangers was nowhere near Cooper this weekend. Ditto Burgess and Genia.

Alexander / TPN / Baxter - S Fainga'a close at 2
Mumm / Van
Higgy / Smith / Palu
Genia / Cooper
Schmoo / A Fainga'a / Ioane / Turner
I honestly cannot pick a 15 that was good - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) gets a default pick

I don't think Hangers got near the quality of Cooper on the weekend but he works well for the Tahs as a foil for Barnes

In Hangers own words .................

''During the trials I played at 12 and Berrick at 10 and a few of us talked about it, but Berrick was most forthcoming in saying he'd prefer to be at 12 if he and I were playing together - that that would make better sense,'' Halangahu said.

''I think he and I have a good combination where we are sharing the workload well … I can concentrate on organising the team and guiding us around the park, and he can have the freedom to play what he sees.''

Hahahahhahah.
I just fell off my chair.
Thank god you have nothing to do with picking a side as it seems to me that you may have trouble picking you nose.

Oh I am sorry. I thought people were asking opinions. I gave mine.

Cooper v Hangers - I said could. I didn't say definitely.

Genia v Burgo - I meant to say Holmes so I'll happily take that back. They were on and off so much due to blood in the first half that I had them mixed up. So if I say my statement again "I think Holmes did come close to replacing him (just by looking at this rounds play)" But in any event I did say Genia first over whoever.

Mumm was a definite and I am not the only person to say so. I really thought Douglas played well. If we picked purely on the lineout then yeah sure go Van H but overall I thought Douglas played better.

OK now that I have said my piece I'll refrain from stating any personal opinion in the future and will tow the general theme of each thread from now on just to keep everyone happy.

I thought Hynes played pretty well at fullback but perhaps AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was more important to the Brumbies in their game than Hynes was for the Reds.

Barnes, while obviously playing and controlling the Waratahs well, did not have the massive impact as A. Fainga'a did. I guess it depends on who you support haha. As a Reds supporter I'm feeling pretty one eyed at the moment.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was very good, safe under the high ball and wonderful at kick return.

Barnes played bloody well and didn't spend 10 minutes in the bin

So are you telling me that I can't at least reply? That I should just accept the ridicule?
I made what I thought was good contribution to a thread but obviously I was mistaken.

And yes that second one was a case of "I really should have said that" but two posts were made in between.

I'm gunna go practice picking my nose now because for some reason that is important.
