I might have missed this so please forgive - where was Reesjan today ? Qld I #12?
He's a proven performer.
Will he be one of players called up later?
Any thoughts on aust side .......anyoneAgreed he put in a good performance with the time he had in the field 30 mins first game and 5 mins second game before injury however, there’s been a few #7’ standouts this Championships such as VIC Stone a big lad very strong on ball, WA Hinkley impressive work rate and Q1 a hard runner making numerous turnovers it’s going to be interesting at selection time

So far and on todays efforts Jeans and Tecjek are the top two 9s imo.
Depending on what happens on Saturday Tecjek could finish ahead of the two NSWI 9s.
This year's NSWI team is better than that of 2016 imo, particularly their forward pack.
Anything can happen in a Final but they should be too good. In fact I think they'll win comfortably.
NSWIs Coach Lachlan White coached NSW2 in 2016.
The Jeans yellow card was harsh but the replacement of their 15 after that happened was a mistake. It left two wingers on the field (weaker defenders) and NSW II exploited it.
Any thoughts on aust side ...anyone

Gee what a shock - a NSW HPM giving a NSW kid a rap
I’m stunned
QLD 1 12/10 - Reesjan Pasiota seems as though he’s injured which explains why we didn’t see much of him this week - but like Donny Freeman - he’s a class act and probably will ultimately be in the mix when the Tests are on
1. Angus Bell (NSW1)/Zane Horgan (ACT)
2. Jack Winchester (NSW 2)
3. Apinesa Driti (ACT)/Zane Nonngor (QLD1)
4. Tom Hooper (NSW 2)
5. Jeremy Williams (NSW 1)
6. Luca Moretti (NSW 1)
7. Donny Freeman (NSW 1)
8. Bailey Tau Tau (QLD 1)
9. Reece Anapu (WA)
10. Carter Gordon (QLD 1)

12. Joey Walton (NSW 1)
13. Lachlan Ilias (NSW 1)
14. Jangala Bennet (QLD 1)
15. Brendan Jimenez (ACT)
This is starting to look like a strong Aus team, probably a bit too NSW/QLD1 centric though as well.
Think about who could actually compete against NZ.
1. Angus Bell (NSW1)/Zane Horgan (ACT)
2. Jack Winchester (NSW 2)
3. Apinesa Driti (ACT)
4. Will Chaffey (QLD 1)
5. Jeremy Williams (NSW 1)/Fred Fewtrell (QLD 1)
6. Luca Moretti (NSW 1)
7. Donny Freeman (NSW 1)
8. Bailey Tau Tau (QLD 1)
9. Reece Anapu (WA)
10. Carter Gordon (QLD 1)
11. Glen Vauhu (QLD 1)
12. Joey Walton (NSW 1)/Dennis Waight (QLD 1)
13. Lachlan Ilias (NSW 1)
14. Jangala Bennet (QLD 1)
15. Brendan Jimenez (ACT)
Updated the team with some standouts from this week.
Think this is getting closer to the final 15.
^
Spine of team looks alright but I’d go with
2. Kopua - QLD 1
4. Harris - NSW 1
6. Van Der Schyff - QLD 1
8. Moretti NSW 1
9. Jeans - QLD 1
12. Pasiota - QLD 1
11. Tricks - NSW 1
14. Fonua - Victoria
7 x NSW 1 , 2 x ACT , 1 x Victorian , 5 x QLD 1
QLDIs defence yesterday was enormous the whole game, especially their goal line defence holding out a fast finishing NSW team.
And being a man down. And they came within a whisker of saving the game.
NSW's come-from-behind win was a great team effort, but their last try involved an element of luck.
After Creagh brilliantly sliced through the defensive line on the last play of the game, his last pass went to ground and was scooped up by Bell to score. It wasn't certain whether it was a knock on or not, but after consultation with the touchy it was awarded.
That was reminiscent of 2016 when NSW2 just scrapped into the Final but I doubt if history will repeat itself, but I have been wrong before.
In any case the QLDI players didnt do their chances of being selected in the 46 any harm and all players have one more opportunity to impress the selectors. NSW players will be pumped to play in the Main Final.
The contest between the 9s in tomorrow's Main Final will be very interesting. I'm not trying to put the mock on anyone but both NSWI 9s missed out in 2016.
