From ASRU website:

DUE TO THE NEED TO COMPLETE FURTHER MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS OF SEVERAL PLAYERS, THE UK & IRELAND TOURING SQUAD WILL NOW BE ANNOUNCED BY FRIDAY 11TH OCTOBER

Wilkin, and Sandell spring to mind as being in Team Rehab.

Both these would be useful on the Northern Tour.

Been a long time, you're out of practice!
Indeed.

Best wishes to Strokeside jnr - good to see his talent is not being overlooked (although wasted is probably the right word). I know which number he'd like to be wearing but I saw him wearing that number less 2 in the UK not that long ago and I personally think that's the best position for him.

Yes, Stephen Bachop, the younger brother of Graeme. Stephen represented 'Western Samoa' (as it was known then) at the RWC in 1991, and Graeme the All Blacks. Stephen then went on to represent the All Blacks as well.

There were many T2 to T1 moves during that era (i.e. Michael 'Iceman' Jones' - Western Samoa to All blacks in 1987) but rarely did you see any T1 to T2 moves; which of course is now impermissible!

Inga the winger went from NZ to Samoa from memory. Can't think of too many more though.

If my maths is right I agree. His willingness to pass early and positively even in his less favoured position (from which most do not ever pass) and his excellent kick with either foot suggests he would create indecision in opponents. Only worry is defence in that spot, which I think is the hardest defensively.
I'd like to see that.

IS,

Pardon my ignorance but who is the son of 'Strokeside'?

Any parents going on tour to Ireland? Make sure you take a guided tour of Kilmainham Gaol and St Michan's church in Dublin! It will have you in awe!

When going to Belfast the game will likely be down the Ravenhill Road (the home of Ulster rugby) which is near to my upbringing in the Short Strand. It is well worth a tour up the Falls and Shankill Roads to see the respective murals of both sides of the political divide!

If you get stopped my any men with guns and balaclavas let them know your Australian ... ... ... Only kidding ... ... ... That doesn't happen anymore ... ... ... lmao!

Campbell Magnay must've been brilliant last week after only being drafted into A's late in the piece.

Well deserved after a great season!

IMO he was one of the A's best players against Fiji.

I see that Wilkin is not touring but the selectors have shown faith in Cannell's & Sandell's recoveries.

What a sensational trip awaits these boys!

He did play well,as did Tuttle & Morgan, who were both also selected.
The 15 (Toeta) also played well and is unlucky not to tour,as is H Jones.

Todd was originally selected as Aust A #15 but had to withdraw due to injury. Had clearly shown enough promise at the Nationals to secure a wildcard spot.

Thanks for that BReakdown. Didn't recognise the name, and thought the boys had to play the tournament to be included. Great to see he has recovered well, and still considered making the touring side.
What a memorable experience these boys will have on this trip. Life long friends across the world.
