Agreed but to attract private investment, something that will be vital if the game is to survive & start moving forward, then the code has to meet private investors somewhere in the middle. It was Forrest that said dealing with the RA was like walking through wet cement.

Basically a going concern means that it won't go bankrupt in the next 12mths. At this stage the directors can not guarantee this.

I can’t see QANTAS sponsoring anything in the short term. What RA will need is a financier as it’s sponsor. I could envisage a rugby mad wealthy fund manager like David Paradice or Hamish Douglas getting involved. Douglas has already shown an interest to sponsor sport with the cricket but timed it badly due to the sandpaper scandal. Paradice has too, via the cycling and has been a 3rd party sponsor of players like Pocock. He’s also best mates of Poidevin.
