We will have to wait for the game to die in Aus before the incompetence of the boys club dies.

The AFL just changed CEO Brendan Gale ran second Waugh wouldn’t have even got an interview. We needed someone from the outside

Doesn’t mean Super Rugby was the right path to take the game professional

Unfortunately it was the only path to take game pro, I doubt there were many options. Pro rugby wasn't something that was planned over a few years or anything. Don't forget there was a Worldwide rebel type thing that would of absolutely torn the game to peieces, everyone had to come up with a pro comp straight away, well to start the next year.
For all the moans and groans 25-6 years later, without Super starting when it did we wouldn't probably have the game to complain about.

It was the first option to make the Murdoch a quick buck. I agree that it is easy to look back with the benefit of hindsight but they were seduced by the money on the table and that was it

Well then the question has to be asked why did he reward the incompetence of the Tahs? Nepotism

Why is he unwilling to be transparent about the losses his administration made at the WC?

Why is he refusing to say how much the bail out of the Tahs was?

Lastly he promised he would communicate with fans. I have paid my membership upfront and in good faith and I am left not knowing if his administration will honour our membership entitlements. If that’s his way of connecting with fans well that reflects poorly on his character as a man

There were always options.
It was the best option for a pay TV operator who made a killing, who conned a sporting code that thought it was the next f_____g roman empire walking around starry eyed believing all the crap about global domination.

25 years later the only thing Super Rugby has given the game is a bloody Credit Card bill.

Put it this way, if this is it and this is our last season have the decency to let us go and see our team for the last time, is that unreasonable?

At this point I am not even asking for a bail out or to be saved. I just want to be able to go to the home matches have a beer and enjoy it for one last time.

He is yet to confirm if members will have access to the game next Friday and has failed in his promise to have tickets on sale this weekend.

As it stands we do not know when we go down next Friday if the gates will be open or not.

If we fold at the end of the year so be it. We will have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

Question for the Rebels fans. What if the only way to save the franchise is to essentially run everything out of RA on the administrative end while only maintaining HP ops in Melbourne? Because that's probably the only way I can see that happening.

Isn’t that the point of centralisation?

If it meant I had a team I could watch, a team that when I become a father one day my son or daughter could aspire to represent then sure.

He will if it proves to be a successful appointment. But as of yet that’s an unknown.

Man you're exhausting... No one at RA spent the money on the Rebels, they did that themselves... Can you keep your continuous whining to the Rebels thread.. We know it's everyone's fault but the Rebels. I think you have already even blamed the start of professionalism not picking Melbourne instead of ACT.
