The story refers to withheld payments the Rebels required to service their obligations. So I'd say they were very aware.

Your correct, but they have 21 days from when the notice was served to come to some agreement. I dont think someone like him is going to play it out in the media so we are just going to have to wait.

Its not the America & being on the board of a company/sporting club that goes under is a pretty big red flag to do business with again. BRC might make yet another significant donation.

The one thing about the article that is really concerning for me is AFR is a 9/fairfax paper, not a semi accurate anti rugby hit piece from Murdoch

There's still a lot of PTSD over chop/change discussion, so no doubt they are treading VERY lightly. No doubt Tom North is keeping a very close eye on the legal aspects of the centralisation deal.

Not all aspects. I believe the tahs went full commercialisation; we are looking at HP only, I think. Don't think we want to give up our commercialisation and, effectively our licence to play.

to the AFR? I am not convinced. They have been doing a fair hatchet job on RA of late, albeit a fair chunk on Hamish. But I don't reckon RA would have them in the tent like they would Decent and Doran et al

The position the Rebels have put themselves in, exposes RA significantly. If Rebels do go under, there are a considerable number of POI's at the Rebels that will be looking for contracts with many of them having to go overseas in the short term.

What is it with these goons? I have seen it at club level where the coach and management decide to buy success and it didn't (doesn't) work. They have no fiscal responsibility or ability to count from the look of it. They believe their own BS and hope - not a great way to run anything.
As for the media, they all love a good screw up more than a success story.
