Australian Rugby / RA

NZRU have zero interest in the commercialisation of Super Rugby because they get significantly more from the All Blacks than we get from the Wallabies
For now. Itll wane as their dominance is fading. Sadly their house isnt quite built on sad like ours is. The NPC is strong and well supported.

The kiwis will turn around and justifiably ask for more of the tv/streaming rights because they have more games. As a result, you'll have a greater divide between Aus and NZ in terms of player development and financial.
That's right but sometimes you have to step back in order to step forward. RA can't create a national competition by itself. Not enough money, amount of quality players, sponsors, fans and viewers. So maybe NZRU would be more wealthy than you but you are gonna expanse the game in Australia.

It's like the Kiwis and Kangaroos in League, NZ needs more Australia. This is the same but vice versa.

NPC makes no money so they should be open to disbanding it / merging it into a proper franchise comp.
In your opinion maybe. but if the NZR ever thought of disbanding it they wouldn't be the NZR very long, you would have a complete new board.
It's to important to NZ rugby. NPC and clubs are NZ rugby.
Wash your mouth out with such ridiculous comments!! Though I wouldn't mind if Aus teams/players got involved somehow, the problem with teams is the extra costs of course and how to balance it out.

Hamish said from the outset we would take him, and more recently that we can afford him, citing the potential Lions and RWC27 revenues. Sounds like he's on $700K at the Roosters so would be a bargain to get him for around that a season early.
Boy I bet every player's agents are pleased that Hamish McMouth is making public statements how much money RA has got to pay players!!! Boy they must be rubbing hands together knowing RA has got all this spare coin floating around!!

Eddie Jones may get his wish of 100k at the G. I just got my tickets and there are not many left. To go in a group of 3 it was hard to find 3 next to each other.

They get sold in stages, I got mine the day members went on sale & there was only 4 sections you could pick from

Paul Kent, a vocal critic of rugby union and the signing of Sua'ali'i; NRL/News Corp mouthpiece has been arrested for domestic violence against a younger women in his house.

Also pretty critical of the NRL’s soft handling of domestic abusers funnily enough

The bloke is a known fuckwit in his local community. Constantly involved in pissed blowups at various media events, race days etc.

Obviously big jump from being a shit bloke on the piss and alleged domestic abuse, but yeh he’s was already a knob.

The league pundits aren’t wrong about Sua'ali'i being out of form. He was defensively abysmal for the Chooks on Friday night. Struggling to make an impact in attack as well.

I wonder how much is mental with all the noise about his rugby contract.

To be fair, the whole team has been struggling to make an impact this season

He's a 19 year old in his 2nd/3rd year of playing top level footy and had an absolutely massive year last year with the world cup. Even without the media noise associated with the contract a form dip around about now is almost to be expected. We see 2nd year syndrome all the time with young stars - here's an article about it for the 2019 under 20s crop from a few years back.

If league fans want to write him off for a form dip at 19, more power to them, that sort of thinking will just make it easier to bring back any other young talent in the future

Kind of hard to single him out in a team that was abysmal and have been generally poor over the past few weeks.

Their just turning on him now they have a chance. Hopefully Rugby just stay in communication and back him no matter what.

Hope the woman in the Kent situation is ok but fuck I laughed reading the story. Such a tool. This is the head hound trying to trash Rugby… James Hooper is no better with his own off field indiscretions with the law. Gould has skeletons that would make some peoples skin crawl as well but I doubt they’ll come out.

Come to the light boys. Plenty of room
