Changing the subject a little, from the name thing.

Who in the S14 team rosters have come out of regular 7's competition? I am a little out of the loop with 7's players, and it would be interesting to see if success in the 7's games translates to success in the 15's.

In other words, Slim's comment about Stannard not being used on the paddock with the Brumbies, might have something to do with his more natural talent as a 7's player (if there is such a thing), than as a 15's player.

Any thoughts?

The name of the 7's team has been gnawing at me since this thread started! No comments from the peanut gallery, please...

Doing some internet research, which is of course where all the most accurate information is found, I have come across various mentions of the 7's team (including the ARU site) being officially called the Australian Spirit.

Can anyone else confirm this so I can move on with my life?

thats the name they use when not the official national team, off course from the IRB world series, eg. darwin sevens

thats what i thought

The London 7s will be on FoxSports 1 at 1pm on Thursday - and probably will be replayed later as well.

Finishing in 3rd place for the year represents a huge improvement for the boys. A Medal in Delhi would be a great way to finish off the year.
