Rightio, moving forward in a positive frame of mind.

The positives being the Wallabies were able to turn it on and score the points when they had to and the team post match looked quite upbeat about the win. I think the scare they received will help them not take this game lightly, like they have had against teams in the past they should beat.

Argentina are certainly an improved team and will be looking at the corresponding fixture in Argentina as their best chance at a maiden RC victory.

I think Higgers deserves a shot at 6. Not so sure Fardy should be moved to lock though. Simmons is surely heading back to the pine after a reasonable physical effort, but monumentally stupid game.

Keep the same backline and maybe bring Beale on 5 mintues earlier would be my first thought. Talk to them about kicking - no box kicks, only kick long to the corners and if so chase hard.

Something not quite right about the forwards - I suspect the 2nd row is the problem, but I'll leave to those more knowledgeable to discuss in depth. I don't think Simmons is a bad player, but I just can't handle the dumb penalties. FFS, rapping both arms around your opponent at the top of the jump in a lineout, what else is the ref looking at? Even Clancy saw it!

This week will be another challenge as the Boks only just beat Los Pumas. At the moment ABs clearly on top, daylight 2nd and the other 3 fairly even.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Slipper out/rested. Not great considering we are taking on the Pumas.

Cowan in?

Con someone from Canberra give us a sitrep on Sio's injury. If he can play on Saturday surely Slipper's due for a rest.

The very heart of this game is controlled thuggery with fast footwork and slippery hands. And lets not piss around with this and get caught up with chocolate cake, strawberry milk and all the edgy flimsy stuff. For the Pumas its a bar brawl with guys going out the windows, for the saffas it spills into the dunny, for the Darkness its under the bar...and for the Wobs it..it...it...it...well its stays in the middle of the floor. Who in the Aussie pack last night would you want beside you in an all out toe to toe bash up in a good old Kalgoorlie pub? Slipper one and Hooper two..the rest forget them. The mentality to bash, crash and hammer to the end is qaulification number one for any forward. Tackling to inflict unforgotten damage, running as a pumping projectile, contests over the ball of combined unrelenting strength and determined skill..these are absolutley mandatory to any forward....the will to be the last standing! Now we all witnessed what happened last night and rather than running around in circles like a bunch of girls bumping into each other why not start building our next forward pack..and it is a PACK...based on MONGREL! So who do we have beside us in the pub..Slipper, Moore, Hooper, Higgers, Horwill and then who bloody knows...

Ok paragraphs.
I'm thinking out my team....

If I'm standing in the middle of the Railway Hotel, in a slugfest, and the winner takes all (as is the habit of winners) and we're talking about guys with intent, power, self belief and making 100% certain they are the last one standing then Henry Speight I would want-his running style has everything to do with absolutely taking all the young heifers on at once and running roughshod over anyone who dares get in his way.He is operates with 3 balls. Yeah, I want him belting them, then chucking them out the window. They wont come back through that window. Winger.

Another beside me thesedays is TPN. His headwiring is increasingly do or die. He cuts the grass with his teeth when he's under power with the ball and leaves damage. Hes' capable of dragging a few to the door and make them think again.

NOTE: In my analysis I take skill for granted -as it SHOULD be at this level. This twirling around the maypole stuff making excuses is total fartair. There are NO excuses at THIS level. My analysis is based on number of balls and their size and the grey matter driving them.

I would like to see a new captain. if hooper put in half of the aggression he dose on the field into being captain, He would be far better...

Big Boy Benn is joining the squad, so look for Slipper to be rested.
