Interesting dynamic re the crowd here. This game is almost if not a sellout. The admin shenanigans haven't hurt Sydney interest in a moderately interesting test against a lower ranked opponent.
Possibly proving that Sydneysiders will watch any test in good numbers provided its not played at Homebush?
I hope they remember to dust some of those seats that the roosters and tahs have not seen the need to use this year. I s'pose some A league bums have been on them.

Bad form from the Melbourne peeps to boycott the test last week. It really just makes it easier to see which franchise should go.

It wasn't an interesting product, and it clashed with local football (they moved the games slightly earlier, but it was still a pain).

As Highlander said, people weren't interested in the game nationwide. Particularly in Melbourne when the majority of rugby fans are naturalised Kiwis and Brits.

Not overly excited about Nabuli starting, to me their appears to be some ulterior motive like locking him into the Wallabies, I think he has gone well this year, but his tendency for a high shot and subsequent yellow card have proven costly for the Reds, and could be more costly in the test arena.

My take on Carter starting is that Cheika knows he can play 80 minutes so if Coleman doesn't look like he's going to last the 80, Carter can stay on.

Arnold isn't really an 80 minute player so if Coleman and Arnold start it pretty much requires Coleman to play 80 minutes and could result in him being stuffed in the last 20.

So much logic for one post, BH. Sadly, many Carter-critics (I won't call them 'haters') have just substituted the name Arnold for Skelton!!

I think there's no doubt Carter's form this season has made him deserving of a spot in the 23.

I know you are biased but I'm also sure you can see how much better Sam's form is this year compared to 2015 and 2016 when he didn't play many tests.

Doesn't look like a sellout, given the size of the stadium it's a dissapointment, they've forgone potential better ratings of prime time for a better crowd as well.

Looks a decent crowd, but a fair way from a sellout. 25,000-30,000?

ARU massively over estimate the value of their own product. Empty stadium.
