The personnel has to change, I know its not that easy when you have as many players crocked as we do, but we'll have some returning fire power this week out wide and Pocock to return up front so thats a positive. I'd slot poey in somewhere in the back row (dennis was't good last night), Digby on one wing with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) back to 13, possibly drew on the other if he is up to it (I suppose AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) could play 15 but I feel we're going to need harris or Barnes' goalkicking more than we'll need whatever Tapuai brings, besides AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is not exactly a step backwards in attack at the moment and he's at least as good a defender). Timani in the 2nd row to start with douglas to come on after 40-60 may help with our inconsistency in maintaining the rage in the collisions.

This is what happens when you pick 8 Waratahs in the starting team. Actually make that 10, considering that Beale played most of his rugby there and McCabe is basically just a less effective version of Tom Carter. And even more on the bench. Deans could have built a team around a Super Rugby title-winning Reds side, dotted with a few of the best players from the other states, but nope. Because selecting a team made up primarily of players from the 11th best side in Super Rugby, which its own fans can’t even stand to watch anymore, is obviously a *much* better strategy...

An example of this, (for the benefit of Mr Jarse, and others), is "Happy Trails", which won the $1m Emirates Stakes yesterday after running 10th of 14 in the Cox Plate in his previous start. Surely the Wallabies will be able to gain strength from a performance like this!

The alternative was lost when the ARU decided to unjustifiably extend Deans’ contract. The best that can be hoped for now is to tell Deans that he’s sacked no matter what at the end of the tour. We’ll have to write off the next few matches, granted, but that doesn’t make much of a difference. Then bring in McKenzie as soon as possible to give us a shot at actually winning against the Lions. McKenzie isn’t a saviour, but he’s a good communicator and most importantly, has common sense, both of which appear to be sorely lacking in the Wallabies atm.

Deans has to go as soon as they return from the NH. It's horrible to say, but I actually hope we only win against the Italians so the pressure to sack Deans is too great to ignore. A win against Wales and Italy will probably be enough to see him in the job till the Lions.
