Chis ahead of Douglas is a crime against nature, though.
Hold your breath boys, surely Douglas hasnt been named because he'll be in the main squad for Saturday. Surely. There cant be any other reason. Surely?

Would love to see that! Don't that it will happen tho.
On another note, I like the selection of Beale at 10. Regardless of whether his best position is 15 or not, it'd be good to see whether with his new found form he'd could be an adequate replacement for Quade.
Also I think from Dean's point of view its more just a case of selecting what he has got to use. Considering Giteau's injured and Quade and sookface played on the weekend he didn't much of an option.
Yep, it is just Rob Simmons turn to be blooded. Don't get your hopes up.
Let's not get too excited about these Baas selections. There is no pretence of consistency; it's just looking at folks and waiting for socks to be blown off. Forget about Douglas and Simmons as being Wallaby locks until after the RWC unless there are injuries, or they monster themselves into consideration doing things they haven't done yet, but I trust they will down the track.
Same for Beale at 10. It looks a long stretch for his ever to be playing 10 for the Wallabies even from the bench, but put in the the same amount of injuries we have had in other positions and another in the match and it's ... you're on Kurtley. Not to the point but I think that 12 will be his best position long term. He doesn't have that extra step of pace to be an attacking fullback, nor the instincts or skill set to be a defensive one.
Tonight's game kicks off at 7:30pm, how 'bout we meet in the bistro at the Central Coast Leagues Club at 6:00pm for a feed and a drink before wandering across the street for the match? I'll be wearing my yellow scarf.
From a selfish point of view, I'm very happy to see Fainga'a and Chambers continue their combination at this level - look out next year in the Super 15 as these two will know each others game off by heart, and the Reds will benefit.
On Beale: I think his best position will be playing half-back or five-eighth for an NRL team one day.
On my way in here about 45 minutes I got to the leagues club from the wrong side and found an open door near a bistro looking place so walked in.... on the England squad in their pre-game meeting. They looked pretty bored..
