I have picked both Hynes and Alexander in positions they didn't play in but they were both standouts. TPN just shaded by Moore. JOC (James O'Connor) was ok as well as was Fanifo.

not on my watch. i thought he was quite average vs the force, kicking game in particular was very poor. suprisingly looked unfit, too.

Did catch everything though and set up a try.

Have to give a special mention to Luke Burgess I though he was brilliant for the Tahs last night it was hard to split he & Genia.

Burgess is always brilliant.

Brilliant? No. He was pretty good, and did plenty of good stuff, but still too much lateral movement before letting the pill go, of which the Tahs need far less. No-one ever denied his unpredictable ability to make a break. If he and Genia can both lift their games as the season goes on, we'll be well positioned with 9s.

Burgess was only average at his job, but he was doing a couple of other people's as well. Why on earth the shortest guy in the team is most often the one under the bomb, I have no idea.

For the Tahs

Burgess started off mucking around too much instead of just whipping the ball out - when he could. To his credit though I thought he was one of the players to stand up when the Tahs made the comeback and I was appalled when the arch-ditherer, Holmes, replaced him.

Sure enough Holmes got mullered once as the ball emerged when contemplating the colour of the grass, but luckily for the Tahs they got a PK for something.

I thought Hangers lifted the Tahs when he came on though his hogging the ball once was a black mark.

Palu was terrific.

LG, i agree. hangers was good. better than barnes on the night i thought, keeping in mind the difference in time on the field.

I hope Deans picks Burgess, that would suit this AB fan... :baxter:

Wouldn't worry about it no matter what halfback we pick (obviously Genia). We still won't win against the AB's. It has taken me this long to figure out.
