You were right ;) Ellyse will find a cricket team in London :D
....
French sports publication, L’equipe, have this afternoon reported that Matt To'omua is set to join Wasps. Although the centre/fly half had been linked with a number of French sides, Wasps are thought to be willing to make the Australian one of their marquee players, allowing To'omua fall outside the Premiership’s salary cap regulations.

Well, for the European games, let's have an Aussies abroad update.

Champions Cup
Leicester v Stade Francais

Former Tah and Rebel Peter Betham started in the 13 jersey for Leicester, and was denied a try by the TMO as they took the Bonus point 33-20 against Stade. For the men in pink Pat Sio started at 6, while Will Genia is still in post world cup rest period. Hugh Pyle is injured and Paul Alo-Emile was not selected.

Challenge Cup
Harlequins v Montpellier

Jesse Mogg was the lone Australian starter as Montpellier went down 41 points to 18 at the Stoop. Sitaleki Timani and Ben Lucas came off the bench, with Nic White and Ben Mowen not being selected.

Edinburgh v Grenoble

Alex Toolis continued his run of starts with Injuries to Scottish capped twin Ben Toolis, Grant Gilchrist and a suspension to Fraser McKenzie, as Edinburgh beat Grenoble 28-10. Peter Kimlin was not selected for Grenoble, while Ben Hand came off the bench.

Big shame that. Bloody good talent, jsut at the wrong end of the queue.

There would be a few IC's looking on with interest. Inman, Kerevi?

Oh yeah

Mauger had made a massive difference in our attack but we are lacking a 12.

We have a talented 12 in the academy but he isn't ready for regular starting AP rugby yet.

Him and Manu Tuilagi in the midfield.

Damn... To'omua leaving when it seems he's peaking as a player... that's the real disappointment for me.

I don't mind players leaving because they struggle to get game-time or are nearing the end of their careers but for a player who would likely be an integral part of the Wallaby and Brumbies set-up for the next couple of years is a real disappointment.

And 3 years is a long-time, I thought 2 years would be the norm for a nice oversea's experience. For me, 3 years means he doesn't value Aus Rugby/playing for the wallabies as much I thought.

Matt had proved his worth at Wallabies' level over a couple of years and then they went and brought Matt Giteau back to displace him. Seems the Wallabies didn't value him as much as he might have valued the Jersey.

He will be very hard to replace at the Brumbies. ATM there is no No 12 at the required level to back him up or a No 10 to back up Christian. Has been a weakness in the past two seasons. Hopefully, a young gun like Jooste will step up but it's asking a lot in just 12 months.

Gits won't be there next year so that pretty much leaves the door open for To'omua to cement his spot. Maybe Cheika bringing on Beale instead of To'omua in the final was the turning point as that is his main rivalry for next year.

I agree he will be very difficult to replace. I think Gits proved experience is vital and valued in the Test scene. To'omua has a shit load of super xv experience and 30+ caps for the wallabies, there ain't no-one with that kind of experience that can step-in for him, Beale is a different style of 12. Lilo maybe, but he seems to be in the decline the last few years whilst To'omua has gotten better each year.

With To'omua in England, we won't to take advantage of the weak spot at #12 for the ABs without Nonu and SBW.

We'll lose Giteau and To'omua. So another 5 Bledisloe Cups in a row for the Kiwis

:eek::eek::eek:
