With some of the debate going on in the Tom Carter thread about him not being wallaby standard but still valuable it got me thinking if you were picking the ultimate Australian super rugby side, would it be the wallabies team or slightly different.

Not sure on exact rules, but let's say it can be any player currently playing for an aus team during this years comp.

I can't really contribute cos i have only watched on pe force match and one rebels match so far. But interested none the less,

Pick in position from 1-15, reserves through to 22 and the best coach, Andy friend can still count as

can assistants.

Just to clarify, your picking a team that if money wasn't an option you would pick from current players and coaches in Australia, as if your a new team could sign whoever they wanted.

i'm surprised to see people picking burgess considering he is a halfback who CAN'T FUCKING PASS!!!

it's a pretty fundamental flaw in his game. looking at the starting aus halfbacks i would at best only put him in front of valentine following sheehan's performance against the lions.

Sheehan was very good against the Lions, but so was Burgess against the Rebels, Reds, Saders, and even the Cheetahs.

Not sure if I would take it to the Wallabies. Would prefer Palmer at tighthead to sure up the scrum, I think this will cope at Superugby, but could be firmed up at national level.

Ewen McKenzie for coach. Obviously there are all the wallaby players to condsider, but when considering a Super 15 side you cant just pick the wallabies as half of them are going to piss off after RWC. A good Club team should have a combination of experience and youth, building combinations and culture for the future.

I wont pick an entire team but i think some great buys at the moment would be
I. Vaea.
To'omua
Mowen
C Fainga
McCabe
Nick Phibbs
R Coleman
Lealifano
Beau Robinson

It might be too early for these players to be at the wallabies, But i think in a year or two they would be strong contenders. The best players however Id say would be the young wallabies in Pocock, Genia, Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor), Slipper, Douglas, Simmons, Horne.

But the best player for any Super 15 team has got to go to TPN!... so destructive, loyal to Aus Rugby, Great community work, Great Great Player.

His passing has been better this year. Have you watched the Tah's games?

i watched him play the rebels and the reds and thought his passing was still pretty ordinary. granted, his sniping has been impressive but in both games i watched i saw it as barnes' good hands not drawing so much attention to the poor passing.

i'll be sure to watch the tahs/brumbies game in expectation to be dazzled by his slick service.
