Riddler, you left me out of your count so the correct figure should be 16,752

I still don't get all the moaing and groaning about last weeks game. Maybe you guys have been watching too many highlight videos over the offseason and forget that in between there is always some tough and messy stuff (where the game is usually really won and lost), and that this can be messier than usual early in the season and when playing in humidity. It seems like you guys are willing the tahs to collapse in a heap just so that your predictions on a web forum will be proved correct.

I'll be there early- there is an interesting curtain-raiser @ 5.15 pm:

Knox Grammar School vs St.Augustines(Brookvale)

may be better than the main game!

I'm with mark_s, the well quoted booing from last week was actually in relation to a howler by the touch judge, I think it was a kick where our player passed it back into a sharks player whom it went out off, then the lineout was given to the sharks.

Shouldnt this be run as a pool? Like you can choose (say) 19,000 to 19,500?

Moses, I admire your optimism, it is truly admirable (or have you found out that the Tahs have dumped a huge amount of tickets with a bunch of clubs or schools).

If I see you at the ground tomorrow night, please can I borrow your rose tinted glasses for a while. Might give me a new perspective on things.

I can assure you that the members area where I plonk my fat arse was not booing at a single incident. The cries of indignation and frustration built and built throughout the game. And we're not talking about a bunch of yahoos here, we're talking your original cravat wearing leather patch brigade - and their wives who are often even more vocal!!

Are we playing closest rules or Price is Right rules, closest without going over.

Closet wins whether under or over (or of course spot on). Hadnt realised there would be so much anxiety. That pat on the back must be urgently required for a few people :)

what have Qld had int he way of crowds with there "entertainer" brand of rugby, there is a pretty good chance of the tahs crowd being close to that of a derby game isnt there?

I suspect the Tahs crowd and Reds crowd will be similar. Reds possibly a little more.

Of course you are fishing here, but neglect the massive population difference between Sydney and Brisbane. Sydney sporting fans are the worst in the country and watching sport live.

Why try to cover your own inadequencies by fixating on someone else, especially if that someone else is flat broke?

im not covering, is the reds crowd going up? the reds fans here have been going on and on about how there playing rugby properly, i was just asking the question.

i know the brumbies only got I3 thousand last week for there first home game, crowds for rugby are crap at the moment.

i dont disagree that sydney siders are more likely to watch at home or a pub than go to games o top of that, its a friday game which means if your heading to the sfs you leave early or your already in the city and that the NRL season launches tonight and it wont be pretty against a team like the lions that would never draw fans in I00 years

Town of under 300K versus city of 4million +. There's a fair comparison.

Geez, I'd heard the GFC had hit property prices, but not that hard. Might take a trip down the Hume this weekend to see if I can pick up 1 or 2 myself. :thumb

Shit hey, I was close. Considering the crowd on a Friday night, and the Reds got 17500 for their Friday night game could mean trouble. But the result should draw some good crowds further down the track, that being said the Reds didn't have any type of other major code to compete with.

I'll settle for third place (still better than my tipping or fantasy!!). Would have been second if it hadnt been for that blatant wedge move from Mark_S ;)

Hope you enjoyed playing, might be interesting to do it again for the next game to see if we can predict just how fickle a Sydney crowd can be.
