Would requiring players to play where they are told be a better option?

that's not what im suggesting, but if the ARU contines down the central contracting process there needs to be some means to spread the talent evenly amongst the Australian provinces.. otherwise the issue of dodgy third party deals and underhand deals will rise in prominence.

from the Brumbies fans because he is leaving? or because he is in a NSW side who loses to the Cheetahs?

Because he's going to play for a team that gets regularly booed by their own fans...

Booo... you didn't win...

Booo... you won but we didn't like the way you played...

Booo... where's my cheese platter?!

Because he's going to a team that has enough fan's to make an audible boo.

Do the Tahs actually attract that many more fans than the Brumbies?

When comparing the population base of the two teams the Brumbies are kicking their ass...

Well, there's two team in Canberra, basically; Raiders and Brumbies. How many are there in Sydney?

One stadium in Canberra. And when the Brumbies play, it's the only game on. And, let's not forget, the only thing to do in that godforsaken hell hole.

I have a secret to admit: I actually like Canberra. I didn't before I knew some locals but it really changed my opinion. Prefer Sydney but I'd happily live there.

anyway, a bit more detail from ABC online
Wallabies utility back Adam Ashley-Cooper will leave the Brumbies at the end of the season to join the NSW Waratahs.

Ashley-Cooper told his Brumbies team-mates this morning that he had agreed to terms for a two-year deal.

Waratahs coach Chris Hickey says Ashley-Cooper can fill a number of places in the backline.

"We've seen him play Test rugby at 13, wing, full-back, and I think with the skills set he's got he could play 12 as well," he said.

"He's a talented player no matter what position he plays."

I moved from Sydney ten years ago - I think 'hellhole' is a far more accurate description of most of Sydney than Canberra.

I was appalled to "lose"" AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) (and Cam Shepherd) when they were young blokes as their promise was unmistakable. But now I doubt if his return is good for Oz rugby. Hickey's comments already indicate that he will be given the run around and be a filler of positions, though given the fragility of Horne, he could get a permanent spot.

I would gladly swap him him for an elite scrummie next year but there aren't any available, though I would like to get Nick Phipps back in town, as I have mentioned before.

quite right. does anyone beside mitchell (and carter) have a set spot in the tahs backs? getting a little tired of this run around business. versatility is great to an extent. hop scotch isn't a positive to me.

AAAAAAAAH its refreshing to see a young fella, not worry about the extra bucks (in the ACT), to find and follow the path of true love and head north to the land of fruit, honey and the girl. Damm good looking lady at that

I don't know about that. Last year they gave us the evil eye when my brother and I started cheering and making some noise for the Reds. They looked like they had seen a ghost.

I'd Like to see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at outside centre.

Let Horne develop a bit out on the wing, like Mortlock did. His body is so fragile atm, which I believe is reflected in his bodies lack of development. I read that he was under 6ft at school and then put on 3 or 4 inches in the same yr he made his super rugby debut. Sometimes it takes a while for everything else to catch up to that. He's only 22 after all.

He is easily one of the faster players in the backline so he could be a hit on the wing. I think he currently lacks a little power in the centres as well.

Anyone have pick of the girl he's moving to sydney for?

She must have '2 very large bubbly personalities' for him to want to wear the sky blue.
