Leverage, capitalize, increase, achieve.
Why do these things ever need updating?

It's called the feedback cycle. You make a plan, implement stratagies and then regularly review your performance against the plan.

The idea of this is to constantly tweak your plan based on the outcomes you are achieving and the subtle nuances that occur over time.

If you are excelling in one area but not in another, then you need to re-adjust your focus. If you don't your plan will become unbalanced.

Whilst the original plan is at the macro level, it still has to be tweaked at the micro level. Hence the "cycle".

Plan, implement, review, adjust.

Roundawhile: give me a break.

Did you actually look at the document I was commenting on?

All these words mean the same thing - you just move them from one area to the next when you review and adjust.
They're not saying anything other than we want to achieve success.

IS, the example I will give is simple.

JON had a plan - appoint RD.

This plan was not reviewed and tweaked IMHO. The plan was to acheive. This did not occur.

The plan therefore was a pathetic overriding motherstatement - win.

Bledisloe - 10 years DOH!

Tri-Nations - 1 in 5 DOH!

RWC - 3rd DOH!

Leverage, capitalize, increase, achieve - DOH!

That is not a plan, that is generalised wank, and our performance shows.

A plan is not the Ten Commandments set it stone, a plan is a living entity that has to be nurtured and grown.

Ask the ABs if their plan is ACHIEVE!

I am sorry put what you are describing is a mission statement, you know the cute motherhood bleats that try to pretend we have an overarching idea of what we want to do, your overall goal.

A Plan is the way you are going to reach your goal, the stategies, the minutae of how we are going to do this, and it must be flexible and it must be fluent. And it must be reviewed constantly.

Sorry IS, I just re-read this thread and realised I just gave a "lesson" to somebody who understands.

My apologies :(

Mission statements are often a wank.
