ANZ to SFS?

I've never been to ANZ stadium before but I never really hear great things about it. Too far away, bad seating, lacks atmosphere when it is not filled to capacity. As you say, people want to do more than just go to the footy and back home, and waste 1hr on the trains.

Homebush is shit, you are miles away from the action, most of the available seats are behind the 10m line and you are 20km away from a decent pub.

If they fix the SFS it would be great, but I don't see more seats behind the posts adding any real value either. It needs another tier and stands that actually stop the rain

Indeed, as an ex-Sydneysider now in Brisbane, I was painfully reminded of all the above at the recent England Test. Plus we could not hear the commentary or replacements announcements at all clearly in, can you believe it, the so-called 'best Platinum seats'.

It's also an oddly forlorn atmosphere when not packed full.

Btw FP, there are active proposals afoot now to enlarge the SFS - O'Neill must be desperate to do so given the increasing negative rugby Test crowd trends in Sydney which are seriously concerning at a cash income level as well as otherwise - but some sort of madness meant that covenants were given to the ANZ Stadium years ago re the aggregate no of seats that could be built or added to relevant stadia in Sydney! This is causing all sorts of issues.

NSW is so good at planning though that I am sure it will all be resolved within ten years, by which time 15,000 for rugby Tests will have become the norm out there.
