Saw the first half and it struck me the Wallabies had taken a leaf out of the Boks' book from Johannesburg. Open the game up, run straight and spread it wide quickly at the right times. Teams doing this will score against the ABs, the only question being, will they score enough?

Yes the AB's have been defending narrowly for a long time now but it will take a team with confidence and a good passing game to exploit it.

I just re watched the game and the Aussie pressure In the first 5 min was amazing. Our accuracy wasn't the best when cleaning out and that has been a problem for a while. The all blacks are masters at it. Even if
They clean out defenders every now and then at least the hit someone. Bethem Probably let his emotions get the best of him in this game and had a poor start but for his first test he didn't do too much wrong after that.

Making too many handling errors and getting smashed upfront is still in our game, going to hire into collision. On the plus side we only missed 12 missed tackles and had 6 line breaks. Great stats.

Finally Genia passes into the offside all black. It's something the all blacks do a lot but the first time I've seen genia actually expose it. To be fair they didn't do it much in this game.

Joubert was Inconsistent with not releasing when pilfering. Kuindrani gets penalised for not releasing the all black player, 3points all blacks. Worth a penalty but no where near as bad as when the All black prop does it to us and they get away with it and score 7 points. This was at the 53 min mark. Apart from that Joubert was very good. The last couple of tests have been great and the refereeing has been as well.

Quade cooper has the best test of his life. The guy has come a long way in a year, on and off the field. Even the crowed started to forget about the booing.
The score line was fair. I think if we had Of scored again at the end when foley had that cruel bounce it might of made us look a bit better then deserved.

Our patterns looked much better. If we look at this game compared to Links first there is a huge difference. Look for at least 4 out of
5 wins on the northern hemisphere tour. We are on the up and up.

Gotta be close to surpassing Ritchie. Read's captaincy skills are also very good, and he manages the refs really well.

While speaking about ref management, and in my humble opinion, Horwill's ref management is letting your team down. Mowen has a similar manner to Read, and doesn't seem to have the sulky pouty demeanour towards the refs. If you are abrasive towards any ref, I'm pretty sure that is going to backfire at decision time.
Richie is past it! Yes he's a good captain but KR is an all round brilliant play one of the best back rowers in the world and this is coming from an Aussie!

Really Shigs? I'm not a rugby addict but I've watched a fair bit over the years and that's the first time I've seen any player deliberately throw a forward pass into a retiring player to milk a penalty.

I'll say that Genia is a serial user of out of position players and refs to his advantage. For instance, he always has a good game when old-lead-foot Wayne Barnes is reffing.

As for JOC (James O'Connor), fuck him.

The Wallabies are now officially improving. Betham looks likely and we know Tomane is improving.

If this side fixes its defensive issues, they're going to be very competetive again. Transplanting in a locker room cancer just because he's promised that he's finally figured it out (for the 3rd time) is not the way forward.

(Also, his talent is vastly talked up).

I dare say you probably said the same thing about QC (Quade Cooper) a year ago.
If the ARU had of, then the best individual Wallaby on the field would be playing either overseas or League.
If the player wants to repent and is prepared to take his medicine, then when that period is up, welcome him back with open arms.
JOC (James O'Connor) is still a very young man, and should be given a chance, which the ARU are sensibly doing.

QC (Quade Cooper) has been getting better each week.
Over the last 12 months he has kept quite, and his d has improvd remarkably, that improvement can only come by hard work. Not tackle bags, but live physical practice.

He was one of the few to stop Re a Ranger in a one on one tackle.

Kuindrani, good to see a 13 Straightening the attack. The more time spent with QC (Quade Cooper) the more we will see him hitting the gaps at varying angles.

How about Kepu showing the Blacks his Blistering speed in the second half.

I'm not gona argue with that. Your right about the forward pass. Lol. It did look it. Smart play from genia though. In the first Bledisloe the all blacks were that bad Will would go to pass one way but couldn't because of an all black player who gets in the way. He would then have to pass the other way. That's why I bought it up.

I think when JOC (James O'Connor) learns team ethics that he will replace them all. He has the x-factor.

I, for one, don't think so. Best pair of wingers long term will be Henry Speight and the Honey Badger imo with Joe Tomane not far behind. I would have both Crawford and Betham in front of JOC (James O'Connor) but Quade has shown that if the effort is made someone with JOC (James O'Connor)'s problems can turn his life around. Same goes for KB (Kurtley Beale), but both of these have a long way to go to prove their worth.

And if you're lucky enough to have in your gym really advanced rugby-specific strength equipment like the MyoQuip machines, you should use them rather than throw them out or leave them gathering dust in the corner of the gym.
.

Come on Bruce, you wouldn't be pushing a product you are aligned with now would you?

Do you know this is best pic I have seen for a long time, Wallabies have been known for not mixing or entering opposition dressing rooms for last few years, this pic shows that is not case and also one of the beauties of players swapping jersey, makes me think that game is alive and kicking again as I want it to!!

I fully agree with you Dan. I believe in hard rugby but it also comes with the traditional rugby ethos I think we all love. That picture highlights a big part of that in my view. The rival between Australia and NZ has always been intense but good spirited. Sadly over the last few years it has become spiteful. I hope this nonsense has come to an end.

Yeah cool, then that's also "smart play" from the All Blacks.
