Firstly, This may be your achilles heel-winning legitimately. Secondly regarding your comment of favours, you won't be getting any if they read your post.;)
cool story bro.

legitimately = winning vs 15 as I doubt any of our backrow would stoop down to the level of your soccer diver.

Pity that the game had to have a controversy thrown in, but that said I dont think were up to the AB level yet. We made too many fundamental errors and the fielding of the high ball was piss-poor. I did get a semi at the first scrum though. Glad to see that scrumming has been brought back into the game. Congrats to the Darkness on winning the day and see you over in the Republic in a few weeks.

The real problem though is that the IRB dont fix these problems, and instead choose to shrug and hide the offending Ref behind a generic "referee's are humans too" media statement. If an onfield ref can now ask for replays this was 100% avoidable. And that is my issue with it.

And by sharing the fault across numerous officials, eg "the decision was an unfortunate case of human error by the match officials, who, having reviewed the match, fully recognise and accept that they made a mistake in the application of law."

I think it has been established that the TMO had no role in the matter. Poite was solely responsible and should be held solely to account.

Reading between the lines of the IRB announcement, M. Poite will be doing some time in purgatory before we see him again in a BIG test match.

2011 Boks vs Samoa. Brussow took a decent dive after a push to the face. Or did you mean your current back row?

From Rugby 365:
The encounter started on a sombre note as the teams stood in respect for three deceased rugby men - Kwera Moremi of the Leopards Under-21 who died in the sea at East London after his side's match with border. 48-year-old prop Verwoerd Roodt who played for Northern Transvaal and Eastern Province and Koos Basson, former president of the Western Province Rugby Union and much involved in the workings of SARU. He suffered a heart attack watching the Springboks play the All Blacks in Auckland.

Well, he did lose the game for the Boks. That much is true because he got himself sent off for dangerous play.

I honestly believe he is out to maim opposition players, that's why I suggested he's the new SA hard-man. He attacked Messam's head/neck with his elbow. Clearly illegal and a straight red on it's own as far as I'm concerned. He lead with the shoulder high up in the Carter tackle but decided to throw in some arms as an afterthought. Also drove Carter into the ground with the intention of causing as much damage as possible.

Is this what rugby is about?

This from someone who supports a team whose 12 has twice in three games cleaned up a player with an illegal and dangerous shoulder charge, whose only intention was to maim and hurt.

But NZ players don't play like that, if it looks like they do then its just something wrong with the TV set that is distorting the real truth.

I don't support Nonu's shoulder charges but he only cleaned up one player in 3 games. Slipper didn't get 'cleaned up' from the shoulder charge a few weeks back.

Poor call from Poite but refs make mistakes - so be it. Do you how many penalties/YCs Manu Samoan players have received that have been for good hard tackles?! It was a bad call - it won't be the last one a ref makes in an important game. Whether it was bad luck or bad tachnique or bad judgement, the 2nd YC was his own fault.

The rubbish that gets spouted about the refs being 'intimidated' by the ABs or DC being a 'protected species' is just that - rubbish.

I do find it funny though that the IRB have now issued an apology for the bad refereeing. This was largely lambasted when it was done for the ABs a few years back for a poor Stu Dickinson performance. Personally, I don't care either way but it's amusing that a lot people who complain about supposed double standards don't see the irony.

Shame game was decided by this - cant see why TMO doesn't get executive powers over ALL calls - at least this type of travesty wouldn't happen as frequently.

Late to the party. All I can say, it was still an incredible game despite the ref blunders. The physicality was immense. Well done to SA for the effort and the AB's for finishing the job. Who knows how it would have gone down with Bismarck on a rampage still on the field. I reckon down to the wire.

Final thoughts, get Francis Saili in for Nonu. I don't think his stupidity will ever end. It's bloody embarrassing watching someone repeatedly shoulder charge a player who is not in a position to brace themselves. Gutless.

Also, HOW ON EARTH did Conrad Smith not get yellow carded?!

Depressing test. I knew someone of our lot will get carded but never would have thought it will happen the way it did on saturday. Bit disappointed with the Eden Park crowd who look like watching to much poofball at late and some of the All Black players.

Back to the drawing board for the Bokke who really try and made the best of the sitaution. Defense look shaky but the positive is at the forwards specially the scrumming.

All Blacks look sharp on attack but they should know this is just the start of Meyers Bokke. Hopefull the team will learn from this experience and keep on growing as a team.

We lost this battle but the war hasnt been won just yet.

You don't really want someone like George Ayoub to overule Joubert etc??

Paarl, I agree this Bok team just starting, tend to think this AB team is too, when you think that there was no McCaw, or Carter (even Dagg only had 40), I suspect we have got some crackers coming up in next few years. As I said earlier although disappointed with BDP being sent, not going into rights or wrong(except to say very dumb when you already been YC) , I personally thought it best test I have watched in last few years, and have had to tell mates I won't be going on annual trip to NZ for Bledisloe games next couple of years, as I might just sneak back for Bok tests!!

I'm not sure if it's already posted, but stolen from another forum:

That is taken fron SA forum, but if you show pic of Nonu's shoulder charge a couple of seconds after contact, he wouldn't even be touching player, so how did he get a YC???
Ok jus having fun fellas but that pic is ridiculous!!

I hate going into ref nitty gritty and shite, but to be really honest I still try myself and figure out what Battleship actually did wrong. He is a monster rugby player but I really am sure he sure dont wanted to hurt either carter or Messam on purpuse. The Messam one he try to show him the bus is full and maybe slipped in a bit of a slip up elbow but you know its rugby and not even worth a yellow in both instances. It killed the test just after halftime. He sure had an excellent test and my Bok MOTM. Regarding Nunu , he should use muscara again.

Ok fair enough Paarl, as I at first said the elbow looked ok,until I saw replay, and then had impression that his elbow came up just before contact, not really thinking he did it on purpose, but don't actually think most of these acts are, still have to be punished though. Actually if you listened to video ref on that one HE was the one that told Poite that BDP had struck Messam with elbow. But regardless I tend to think he had been your MOTM up until then also, mind you I a huge fan of his and know with certainty he is best hooker in world by quite a stretch.
Still as I say bring on next one, and long may Bok/AB tests be played like that...real hard!!

The elbow from Bizzy didn't look great on the replay. That was a penalty minimum for mine. The first one, well I don't think there is a rugby fan on the planet who thought that was a dangerous tackle.

If you wish to play the "but-for" game then, the cause of BDP's first yellow is appalling refereeing, not poor tackle choice. It's not reasonable to expect the players to predict refereeing howlers, and it is reasonable to expect that referees won't pull massive howlers.
Further, it's reasonable to expect the players to not engage in dangerous play when on a yellow card.

I believe you do. I also believe you're not correct in the head. I'm sorry about that though, it's not right for me to pick on people with disabilities so I'll leave it at that.
Play the ball, Mank.
