Might not beat them but would get a good game out of it.Dumb comment. A team of 15 year olds would not beat most AIC 1st XV teams comprised of 17/18 year olds.

I was hinting that he could expand his blind faith in AICYou’re actually supporting what they’ve said that; U15 GPS teams would not beat AIC 1st XV.
so why tell them their eyes are blinkered? Silly comment
There’s enough petty comments in this thread without ‘hinting’ at a patronising remark.I was hinting that he could expand his blind faith in AIC
Looks like a strong side ASH better be ready in round 1 and all the other schools better be to. It is shaping up to be a great season of footy and a close one I believe. do we have any predictied lineups or team lists from the ballymore cup?Thats enough people...lets talk relevant stuff..SLC wins Ballymore cup 2022 18-15 over SCG.

Is there any news on Padua's 1st XVWas out at Ballymore Cup today. SLC, Peter , Eddie’s and Villa all competing.
My analysis is as follows.
Laurie’s wiped the floor with all opposition. Big bodies finding space, they looked really competitive. If I was MCA i would be worried. They looked the goods.
Eddies are tough and will be a big improver if the form showed today is anything to go by. Could be a real competitive team that may cause upsets.
Peter’s and Villa looked really ordinary although maybe they were running with 2nds players in a true trial scenario ? I hope so otherwise those two teams will struggle this year.
All teams play two games tomorrow so
let’s see what happens.
I know Villa has a weak Year 12 cohort and strong year 11s - but i cant speak for Peters.
Believe they are versing Iona this weekend, will be a good contest. Is there any news on Padua's 1st XV
GPS is 100% a stronger comp due to recruitment in each age group. It's the only way schools can compete. BBC have so many scholarships they have some in the seconds, spend over a million a year on rugby and can't win more then once every 69 years.its not a stronger comp because of schools recruiting a few players.
It is a stronger comp because they have more players of a higher standard. This is generally from the effort put into coaching skills at the younger age groups that develop as the lads grow.
If you take the 1st XV out of it and compare the 2nd XV GPS Standard to the 2nd XV AIC standard you will see the marked difference.
Just finished watching the Marist villa trial game. End score was 28-26 to Marist after a try in the last few minutes to get them over the line. Marist prop and returning player Harry gould was running water aswell as Toby Anderson and pat Gavin, all looked fine and should be playing next week Pat Gavin was running water and sprinting around so I don’t see any Acl tear there Marist disapline was awful 3 yellow cards and could not stop giving away penalty’s which ended up costing them with villa scoring 4 tries. Dangers sign for Marist
I agree, pat Gavin definitely out? They have seemed to try last years fullback pat tierny at 10 and that hasn’t worked so they shifted him back to 15 on Saturday. Wasn’t able to create much as the 10 they played wasn’t doing the job at hand will be interesting to see what they do with the backline.Agree Analysis, danger signs big time. After dominating the Joeys 2nds scrum they were embarrassed by Villa. Harry Gould is back next week so that should settle things a bit, but sill a big concern. Forget Pat Gavin, he won't be playing. Toby Anderson hopefully will be back. Discipline needs work, but they need to play to their strengths too. If they haven't figured this out by now they will be in trouble, seemed pretty obvious on the weekend.
