Yeah cant really see ashgrove getting the first XV premiership this year although top 4 contenders for sure.

My predictions:

1. Eddies
2. Padua
3. Pats
4. Ashgrove
5. Peters
6. Lauries
7. Iona
8. Villa

But all means nothing to go by because really anything can happen with injuries and such but yes very tight top 4 this year ill predict

Call me weird but I think Pats will be red hot this year and I honestly thing they will take out 2nd or 3rd comfortably

Mate Peters is looking like a good team. they may lack size in all areas but they make up for it in determination and fitness. they are team to watch this season

Ahhhh determination, the excuse for a poor team. They cannot and will not mix it with MCA, Pats, Padua and Eddies this year, they will have to learn the school song too seeing as though most of them are new to the school.

Mate I'm just another guy that has seen a few games played by peters and I just stated what I saw I'm not here to start an argument

I'm interested IDM, how many of the Peter's 1st XV are new to the school?

Terrible decision from the directors of sport and whoever else is involved. All "A" games and 1st/2nd XV should still be on that this stage.

No out right premierships?

Like everyone else I'm pissed off about tomorrow's games being cancelled, as I was really looking forward to watching MCA v SEC (McMahon Oval would have had no problems with the wet).

However, the decision might really help MCA and Eddies, as they now don't play each other leaving Padua with the task of beating both to have any chance of an outright premiership. Of the big 3 this year, Padua now has by far the toughest draw and the most pressure on them.

If, and it's a massive if, MCA and Eddies both beat Padua and finish undefeated the joint premiership will no doubt feel a bit hollow for both

Of course, this assumes that there are no upsets by the likes of SPC or SPLC, and last year shows that anything's possible.

I can't see Pats beating all of the top 3, but they would be by far the best of the rest on my very limited knowledge to this point.

Its good to see our teaching fraternity is producing hard men. Even the Chess competition for the weekend was cancelled. Some of the Headmasters should grow a set, oh, thats right, there teachers, no real life experience in the real world. My god they let down our boys. No my rant will never be over.
