Been following the twitter match feed until I was able to sit down to watch the game from 45 minutes onwards. Italy looking really good.

Vakatawa is a freak.

Italy gallant in defeat. Had the chance to win it with a drop goal at the end, but Parisse shanked it

Italy and France gave it a go in attack... Far more so than Scotland or England did anyway

Yeah, they moved the ball with more intent, just not always that effectively. Feel bad for Parisse, trying to carry it all on his shoulders. He probably did need to recycle the ball if he were tackled, but the tackle was around his ear, so it should have been a penalty to Italy, not France. And then Plisson picks that kick at goal to finally make a good kick.

But Parisse needed to keep his head and just keep recycling the ball at the end and get it to a back. No need for him to take the drop goal.

Watched France game with a couple of frogs, both from Toulouse. They didn't seem to be watching same game. They were talking up the win. IMHO ffr needs a complete overhaul and with the clubs cashed up it ain't gonna happen in a hurry

A complete overhaul is never gonna happen. However I did like that in a pregame interview Noves did mention that one of his most important tasks will be getting the clubs and the national side back onto good relations. Can only be good for the health of French rugby of that happens.
