I should add: I thought we showed some good stuff with our handling early.

And then we reverted to type.

Ruck work was the most disappointing part if I'm honest. Weak over the ball on several occasions

All right, I’m sick of hearing the Wallabies are on the up or how good Schmidt’s been

We’ve had three shit tests in a row, five consecutive Bledisloe series clean sweeps, a record losing streak against NZ and sit with a 40% win rate this year which is the average since 2016

we only managed a last play win v Arg this TRC like last year but also pulled one out of our arse v SA and have only won 1/5 since Joburg

Can’t complain about injuries this game - NZ had 5 ruled out since last week

Schmidt has a 44% win rate with only 5 wins v Tier 1 - so below Chieka, Jones, McKenzie and Deans

The ten situation is a mess too

Most disappointing is dropping the ball in front of two home sell outs we make it hard to win over casual fans in a crowded sport market

At the game. First half ref fired us. Made some silly decisions in the second half.

Oh I forgot. Dmac knocked it on 3 times and it was called back. Tane did it once and he called it correct.

That was a pretty poor performance but the guys looked fatigued, and they probably are. We aren’t getting flogged, have beaten everyone we’ve played except the all blacks, and are literally a try a game away from being a top 3 team. I know the strike rate isn’t great but other teams haven’t played lions x 3, boks x 2, and all blacks x 2 this year. I’m staying on the bandwagon, our real measuring stick is the northern tour and the only kpi that mattters this year is finishing in the top 6 for the World Cup seedings.

On the 10 issues, the simple fact is we don’t have a world class 10, in fact we probably don’t have an international standard 10. We have super rugby quality 10s being asked to play test rugby and I actually think all of them have held their own reasonably well. I saw today that Ben Volavola has signed with the Reds and is open to switching allegiances from Fiji to Australia..,..so let’s get behind a couple of these young guys
