I presume it's primarily because the graphics and jerseys etc. are already made, but interesting that they're using the Rebels branding rather than enforcing a Rugby VIC/Axemen etc. one, given that the Rebels have seemingly been a "we don't talk about it" subject from the Rugby Australia and rugby.com.au people

They're Rebels more than they've ever been now.

Don't know what to make of the NSW squad. Few very good players who are young and then some guys who have played 2nds Colts this season at times. Had a look on the Force website at the Academy and there's a number of NSW 18s from last year on it. If they can get everyone on the park they'll give it a crack. Depth is obviously the hard part.

Keen to see what the Brumbies list.

Who owns the Melbourne Rebels IP at the moment?

MRRU haven't officially wound up yet right?

Brumbies U16s had a trial match vs Tahs yesterday.

Tahs ran up a big score. Brumbies U16s team has been selected but I don't think it's been announced yet.

Joe Dillon named in both Tahs and Brums?

Major step forward (compared to last year) - at last some trials to allow those on the fringe to (potentially) announce themselves.
The reds 19s have been playing a similar trial vs Qld Country Colts for the last few years, has been pretty lopsided to be fair but still a good hit out and nice for the country boys to put themselves in front of city clubs if they're looking for an opportunity. Don't think they are playing it though this year, not sure why, bit of a shame

Great to see the Tahs 19s vs Country u20s being scheduled tonight. No doubt there will be more league scouts with bigger cheque books there than we can muster together. Here’s hoping there are some big bodies with plenty of talent coming through - we sure need them.
