I hear what people are saying about Italy. Fair enough. However if we are still sitting at #9 I wouldn't be stuffing around with the selections. If we are back to the top 5 or just outside, fine. Otherwise we nee to be more conservative imo.

I just came across a social media page called 'TheBlackJersey_'.

Holy shit.

Their takes are nearly as bad as some of the stuff we see coming out of South Africa.

Claiming Swain should have received 52 weeks suspension for the incident last game.

The scary part is they have 18k followers and so many people in agreement.

I am done with internet for a while.

I thought it was pretty strange for a judiciary to say that, who'd of thought huh? A journo going clickbait and making up stories (if not fed a pie by Dave)

Not sure anyone's lying per se, more that the reddit commenter took what Rennie said at face value probably not having seen or heard the clarification the Roar guy got from him.

Like you I'm sceptical wrt to WR (World Rugby) or SANZAAR flat-out saying Newell should've been cited. In the absence of a media release or a direct quote from WR (World Rugby) or SANZAAR I'm putting it in the hearsay column not least because I just can't see the match reviewer(s) missing it or seeing it but not acting on it.

I think its unlikely too. But not because of assumed competence.

That's just... Not the case

The ratings don’t mean anything at this time of year when the northern hemisphere teams aren’t playing. Sure, the jostling between the teams that are actually playing are relevant but I’m sure Scotland and Wales aren’t throwing ticker tape parades for overtaking us by virtue of doing nothing.

It’s not till the end of the spring tour that we get a clearer picture, with the six nations comp painting the final picture.

Besides, if not for the most ludicrous refereeing decision in the history of rugby union football we would be sitting at 6th.

Fixed.;)

I have been openly saying to people that we still had an opportunity to win it and blew it. Point is we shouldn’t have been in that position. And yeah there is the argument that Foley might have hooked it, or we lost the lineout etc etc. Just imagine the meltdown if it was the other way around, forum probably would be full of some random angle stills showing foketi’s bootlace over the offside line or something anyway. And yes I’m still happy to be talking about it on game day.

Yes, any number of alternative universes where we are performing better than utter shite. Not the one we are in, unfortunately. IF you think that the northern hemisphere rugby fans aren't noticing the the rankings, well I suggest otherwise. If we win at Eden Park it would have a huge impact. And in this universe, strangely enough it would actually have meaning.

Agree with this actually. We really should have nailed that win, and going into Eden Park take the same strength with us. ABs have not been at AB standard and with some extra confidence here, we have not been in a better position to win at Eden Park in years.

Let's go Wallabies.

I'm surprised I hadn't seen this already posted here but apart from being warned a number of times by Rynal for time wasting during the game, it looks like Foley also chose to ignore instructions to wait before kicking the conversion after the Kelleway forward pass try.

So what is it Bull? Wasting time or speeding up?! Sheesh pick a lane hey!

Wait, so Foley was wrong for both taking too long and not taking longe enough??

All Black fans are the least self aware I’ve ever seen haha

That illustrates perfectly that Raynal took a personal shot at Foley based on what had happened earlier in the match. He had no control of the game and reacted poorly in both instances.
