2016 it drew 149k. With no AFL or NRL that's what should be the aimGreat result,
We know ratings for Tahs v Sunwolves game will be down from this number this weekend however if the Reds put on a good show against the Landers and Crusaders there is every chance that the Tahs v Reds game will crack the 100k again
They did the most important thing they could do last night and that was produce a watchable product. Brumbies crowds have been horrible for years.
Why have they been so bad? Is this just Canberra sporting crowds in decline or is it just the Brumbies?

a) a little of both, and Canberra is in desperate need of a new rectangular, centrally located stadium for the Brumbies, Raiders, future A League side etc.
b) it's Super Rugby - the crowds at all of Australia's teams have been on the decline in recent years
c) the Rebels generally don't draw a crowd - the game last year was the second lowest in Brumbies history, although 2,000 people showed up to the trial at Viking Park last month...
d) all of the above
I agree about the stadium, and with your other points. As well:
e) Friday night games usually have lower attendance than Saturday night
f) The National Multicultural Festival was on the City Centre. It draws big crowds.
How are the tv ratings tracking compared to last year? That brumbies number is ok isnt it?
Put it this way. I cannot remember the brumbies hitting 70k.
