I agree with all the sentiments. I've always liked McGregor and his style of play, it lends itself to a more expansive type of rugby (vanilla). Unfortunately I think the type of player preferred in Australian rugby is the hard running, willing to take on the line type (crunch) player.
The old adage "harder to get out than to get in" is also the case with Nucifora & Goddard. If you put the 2 together they are probably on par but do they drop the incumbent for a par substitute?
NSW & Qld are known for their "Breeding ground" status and in moving sideways to move up you invariably also take a step back and have to prove your abilities that much more in order to get a look in.
I do hope McGregor makes the squad as I think he has the goods but whether that's enough for the selectors remains to be seen.
