I see a few ex reds boys amongst the brumbies. I'm really keen to see how Ikitau goes. This guy has got talent, along with Moseley. Pity he was injured most of last season. I rate him more than Jooste. Jooste has been in these squads for some time and I haven't seen anything of him. I hope he proves me wrong.

Pat Tafa is a big boy who graduated from BSHS last year. He's only ever played at number 8 from memory so I think that's why they have reshuffled. He can really make impact with his big frame and they rate that highly at the u20's. Word is that sometimes can get a little lazy but isn't that part and parcel of being that big number 8 Leroy Houston type style?

Watched both games last night. Love the commentary by those young guns (Qld) and ol'timers (NSW).

Thought the pack of the round was the Qld team. Great line-outs. Man of the Round was Hamish Stewart. Thought the 9 & 10 of qld were very good and players of the match, closely followed by Harry Hoopert and A S-Y. All played to expectation and thought the control was good. For the Rebels I like the look of the 6 clift, richard, the 8 Tualima, Tuaina, the 11 Tupou, Semisi and the 15 Clarken, Oisin. Thought the 15 was their best.

For the other game thought the weather did play a hand in the result and the ability to show off the telent. Liked Strang from NSW, their front row particularly 1 Johnson-Holmes, Harry and 2 Bradford, Phillip. and their MOM I thought was the 13Chee kam, Esera. Thought Max Giedler did add some punch when he came on.
For the Force thought the hooker had a good game (Malolo) and ofc Vui Shambeckler. They play an unconventional style of play (as a team) and I thought their biggest issue may be their structure. The backs rarely look organised in defence and the GBlues took advantage of that. But what heart they had. Down, Dead, Daggers and they said NO and you gotta love that!

Looking forward to this weekend, especially when the Young Brumby's take the field.

Sage you got a lot out of the 43 sec Tuaina was on the field? But on a serious note he is a good player and I hope he plays soon, I think he is one of the drivers in the team.

Oisin is seriously talented. Played in the Australian Rugby Sevens team at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa, 2015.

Jooste is seriously over rated. I may be wrong but I hear he is the Brumbies 20's coach's golden child - Mosley any day for me.

Seriously over rated - that’s what certain girls yelled at me with their rum & coke breathe from the sideline in the old rugby days, did they mean performance on or off the field? Seriously distracting when jumping at 6 & both packs, your coach & onlookers are giggling at you…rugby can be tough. Anyway, I’d like to see Jooste show his current form first before rating him….& I'm a big Mosely fan, I hope gets a decent run.

Hey mate, each game is at a different time.

Just follow the Super Rugby team's facebook pages. They all post about it.

Interesting.

Notable points -
  • Livadaras started last year, so good to see him at least make the bench.
  • Sione Tui is still school aged. If he's making this 23, he's a very likely pick for Aus Schoolboys.
  • Neither Samatua or Collins are over 190cm, so I presume Finefeuaki is the reserve lock.
  • Clarken has always played wing, but he played so well at 15 last week. Shame to see him move.

Amirite, what position does Tui play?

Temp here in Perth tomorrow is going to be 38°, with the boys playing at 2pm I'm hoping they have regular breaks last thing you want is one of them falling over from heat stroke.
