Magnay had a bit of a head knock a little while back and will join the group on Sunday.

I spoke to one of the commentators of the live stream of the Baas game tonight - he said there would be no stream of the Country game.

Its good to see that R. McCauley, M. Jones and S. Tuipulotu are fit to play - they were in Team Rehab last Monday when I was at training.

Interesting that shadow Liam McNamara is in the starting team when Kennewell, who didn't have a long stint on Tuesday night, looked fit.

And there has been no mention about the non-selection of Harley Fox for the two Chatswood games.

Odd that.

No Angus Scott-Young? Thought he was in their best team?

… and probably the captain.

The coach told me last Monday that he was playing his best team v Country so I guess he is an exception.

The Oz U2os started only two players on Tuesday who started earlier in the month against the Kiwis when they beat them at Bond.

They didn't need ASY (Angus Scott-Young) to back up.

Aussie U20s had a huge win 66-0 against NSW country after leading 28-0 at half-time.

Although nobody was injured in the game coach Thompson mentioned to yours truly that that Joey Fittock broke his hand the other night and he will be replaced in the squad by Liam McNamara.

Harley Fox is out of the squad, injured (I don't know the circumstances) and he is replaced by a 7 - Ikapote Tupai who had a brilliant game on Tuesday night. (Too many Victorians - don't you agree Highlander 35?).

Perese was already out and replaced by Ah-Mu T. - as advised earlier.

The team list linked above has a misprint - the 6 was Angus Scott-Young.

Also Tom Molloy did not play his place was taken by Lukhan Tui - not exactly like for like.

Scots over Vics, Vics over Aussies, Aussies over minnows, minnows over other NH sides, other NH sides over other SH sides, other SH sides over England.

Clearly Gray, Coward, Fowler, Hosea, Valenti and Sauni are victims of traditional states/sides bias and are obviously to the unbiased observer the strongest options for this Aussie side. The selection of Uelese, Ah-Mu and Tupai only goes a small way to alleviate this gross injustice.

That's a very strong looking Aus side. Really like the way both locks are going, and the whole backline is exciting. Will be especially interested in how the centre partnership works. Could be sensational, complemented by Maddocks at fullback.

There have been many insider (players, parents thereof and outside coaches) criticisms of our historical U20s coaching and coaching standards.

This year I am convinced that Rapp and Gilmore are making a significant difference to overall Aus U20 coaching calibre and team motivation. More importantly, I am hearing that from far better placed sources than me. Which is all to the good.

It's both awesome and frightening when the children of players you grew up watching play test rugby start featuring on the international stage.

And I can assure you that his father has lost none of his spark from the sidelines.

Remarkably too Angus S-Y was dux of his GPS school (Churchie) in 2014 as well as playing a crucial role in that year's 1st XV's unbeaten Premiership team. Very talented young man.
