Fuck me. That's twice this weekend I've read a score for a game I haven't watched yet in a different match thread!! Hugh Jarse was the first.

Can we make it a rule that you don't mention any other games in match threads other than the one it relates too?

Hugh Jarse

Apologies @Scoey. My comment on the Rebels game was after the Foxtel commentators had already given the result on the Ponies vs Reds call. (If that is the one you refer to)

As an aside, I have seen some posters "hide" results behind a "tab" that readers can click on to reveal the score/comment on another match.

Anyone know how to do that? Might help if a few more knew how to do that.

Nah no apology needed really. Shit happens, I just couldn't believe my luck when it happened twice in one weekend! I've just been cranky since the Reds game for some reason. ;)
With regard to your suggestion HJ I think it would be best just to not discuss other games in a different match thread. Even if you hide it behind a spoiler tab, it may prompt other discussion within the thread.
Anyway, rant over. Carry on lads. :)

It is a rule. don't give score to games other than in that games match thread. It's one of the reasons we have match threads.

Triple J news did it to me on the way home Friday night. Dropping the Rebel/Cru full time score. Wasn't happy.

Having watched most of this game, the Bulls were lucky not to lose by more.

Yeah it's a tricky business to not have scores spoiled this day and age. Info is everywhere. The amount of times I've had to wait to catch a Reds/Wallabies game and avoiding TV, Radio, phone calls, text messages etc only to absentmindedly open Facebook on my friggin phone out of habit and BAM. Game spoiled. Fuck! ;)

Wow. Thats going to stuff up some people's tipping!
Thats why I decide against tipping this year. Thought the Stormers pack were awesome and how well did Duanne lead this team of youngsters? The Bulls need hard yards on their scrumming. Have no idea how they will fix this.

Hats off to Die Ellende, telling the ref not to go to the TMO saving time and at the time where the score were close and not much time left. Thats the biggest positive for the Stormers were the way they finish this match, usually team slow things down, not the Stormers , they played like a team on a mission in the last ten minutes.

The Cheetahs also played well. Think they are glad they lost the likes of Strauss, Lappies and the fat fattie to the Brutes. Their new names and scrap player debutants played really well against the popped collar Sharks.

Good to see the team factor in rugby is still better then the name on paper teams.

The Bulls need a new coach. The end. Same old crap. The mere fat that Werner Kruger is still in the squad is enough reason for Ludeke to get fired. He must be kidding,

With that kind of pack dominance the Stormers should have scored a BP. Looked like same same to me. Incapable of scoring tries.Where are the tries going to come from? Your problem is goign to be cat killer.

The away win means double points. We'll take five at Newlands against the Bulls.

The full DHL Stormers injury report (09/02/15):
– Lock Ruan Botha (ankle), loose forward Nizaam Carr (viral infection) and inside centre Damian de Allende (slight quadriceps tear) are all back from their injuries and will be in selection contention for this Saturday (v the Bulls).
– Flanker Siya Kolisi is taking part in limited training. He is looking good but it does not seem likely that he will be risked this week.
– Wing Kobus van Wyk (calf muscle) is still an injury doubt. It’s a 10-14 day injury but he will be assessed again later this week.
– Lock Manuel Carizza (shoulder) is still out for another two weeks – as reported last week.
– Lock Eben Etzebeth (chest) is on track and is a week into his four-week lay-off.
– Prop Frans Malherbe (ankle) is back at full training. He is ahead of schedule at present and could come into selection contention in two weeks’ time.
– Wing Willy Ambaka has joined team training this week after his rehabilitation from a long-term leg injury.
– Fullback/inside centre Jaco Taute (knee) is a week into his six-week lay-off after undergoing a scope last week.

We were slow, inaccurate, weak at the breakdown, and our scrum sucked. Also, this new "expansive gameplan" never even showed its head, especially when Jurgen Visser got the ball - you just KNEW he was gonna kick.

Same old Ludekak.

Congrats to the Stormers, and you were unlucky to not win by a few more. For some reason, everyone thought (including me) that you were gonna roll over and die - how wrong weren't we all.

Somehow I think Duane is the perfect captain for you guys - leading by example, and the rest feed off that energy. And he'll always have energy.

And if Kolbe isn't a Springbok this year, I'll eat my hat. You just can't coach his X Factor. Imagine trying to catch Willie Le Roux for 55 odd minutes, and then this little powerball comes along. Would be hell for the opposition.

Oh, and Pierre Spies - was he even on the field? Totally anonymous, and the few times he got the ball, he was properly tackled back.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Since 2010, we've become gradually less accurate each year. It's a clear pattern. We've also become more negative, kicking more and more, since running over the opponents in the first 10 minutes doesn't seem to work for some reason. Oh yes, it's because they're just as big and strong as us now. This isn't 1984 anymore.

de Allende or Leyds? The commentators couldn't tell them apart.

I was very sad to see Leyds go from the Force. He showed in the NRC what he had. But since he did go, I'm glad to see him getting game time.

He played well. He is a future Bok.

I think the Bulls have to many different hair cuts in their youngster loose forwards stock. The Cheetah imports dont help at all. Just joking. Everything starts at first phase. Not long ago we heard about the Stormers light 5. Not any more, Koch and Louw was close by and look like excellent fatties.
