Hmmm. The Mitch stock does seem to have peaked in the 90s.

Only mumsnet would really know why.

NZ up 26-8 at HT. Could be messy. Commentator effusive in his praise for Tuttle and Nucifora (before he's even come on) right on HT. Tuttle did throw a good cutout pass to Fittock to score our only try right on the bell.

NZ No.8 having a great game and making plenty of metres.

One word to describe the Aus U20s first half performance - sloppy. Kick off out on the full. 5m lineout overthrown to give up a try. Halfback missing from back of the ruck to turnover the ball. Missed tackles leading to tries. All very sloppy. Contrast with the slick ball in hand play from the Baby Blacks. Looks like the Reds against the Crusaders, sadly.

Just what is wrong with coaching at all levels in Aus rugby? Why are our teams at test, Super and U20s levels all coached to kick the ball whenever they have it. Couple of kicks in the first half today led directly to first phase tries to the BAbs. Time some lessons were learnt about the need to hold on to possession. If you've got the ball, the opposition can't score tries.

Hopefully there is some improvement in the second half, but I am not holding my breath.

Commentator said Samoa won 33-30 after being down 30-8. He had hopes Australia could do likewise and comeback. Sadly it's 46-22 with ten to go.

Well, an improvement in the second half, but still a step down in quality compared with the BBs. Poor handling leading to a number of knock ons in the danger zone. Still too much kicking, including a rather poor kick for touch at about 30m after a good turnover just short of the tryline. Baby Blacks win the lineout and score on first phase ball. Most frustrating.

Disappoinments to me were Kellaway, though he didn't get many opportunities, Gunn who was almost invisible, and Korzyk, did little until near the end of the game. Thought the whole front row played good with Cameron Orr a standout, both scrummaging and in general play. Couldn't follow many of the ref's decisions. On at least two occasions the Aus scrum had dominance with the Black scrum splintering but the penalty was awarded to the Blacks. Tyson Davis looked the goods on the right wing.

How good is the Black's N0 8, Blake Gibson. Impressive game.
