Watched the chiefs V crusaders this morning, thought it a very good game, Just finished watching the Bulls V Brumbies, In truth you got out of jail, but I must applaud you for fighting to the end, Up until tonight I thought the Chiefs would beat either side, there is no doubt however that the Brumbies can beat the chiefs, Your Kicking game this evening was abysmal if your 9 is going to kick he needs to find touch or give his players time to compete for the ball. Most of the 50/50 balls that were competed for in the air you lost, in fact I don't know if you won any, when you turned the ball over you would aimlessly kick it back to the Bulls,
With ball in hand you were competitive, you competed well at the breakdown, George Smith, what can I say, big game this evening, tap and go George, the mind is able, perhaps the body is not what it once was,
I also couldn't understand why the bulls took their No7 off he was their best player,
Well good luck for the final, practice those 50/50 balls and who knows Well done again,

No doubt the Brumbies are the underdog next week, but they were this week too. No calls until the game is over.

Hey Roff told you Brumbies V Chiefs they can also win if they iron out a few creases, go brumbies, think it might be their year.

That should spell an end to his captaincy aspirations. Seriously, what was he thinking? The Brumbies forwards defend extremely well. You have the best kicker in the comp and you turn down three kickable opportunities that will take you ahead by two scores? Unbe-fucking-lievable.

Never thought I'd miss Pierre Spies.

Congrats Brumbies. Two best teams are in the final.

The Bulls need to find props. Four of them.

I thought that it was actually a plan not to kick for the goal and just stay camped in the brumbies 22. I think that the failing was not to stick to it.

Not sure that it would have been my approach though..

Four years ago. Coaches have been in denial for three seasons in a row.

Congrats to the Brums. - fabntastic win and an Aussie franchise in the final.
Observations:
Moore remains awesome
Smith is a LOT better than his young competition including Pocock
Speight was fantasic as was Mogg.If Henry can play for OZ then he and Mogg should be run-on.
Now they travel to NZ and I think the Chiefs have to be favourites to win....

I am still surprised Alexander gets away with binding on the LH's arm so much and keeps changing the hold, it doesn't make it any easy for the LH to stay stable when the TH is hold the lever (outside arm). And not surprising that when the TH "lets go"of his bind he catapults forward boring in on the hooker

well that was certainly worth staying up for.

I have to say I thought the bulls would win at home, but two great games in one day, what more could anyone ask for.

GS, fantastic. Forget his quick tap! but boy he was magnificent. One really stands out in my memory, made the tackle and looked up and evaluated what was happening all around him, complete and full situational awareness that is rare. Saw someone coming at full tilt to clean him out, and simply moved to one side (like a bullfighter allowing the bull to rush past him-yes full pun intended) and the other players momentum took himself out of the play, THEN nimbly jumped over and into the ruck and sweetly plucked the ball off the ground.

I will probably sound like a nancy boy when I say this amongst a bunch of hard tough rugby lovers, but it was simply beautiful.

I don't think the brums can do the trip and win, same deal (was it last year or the year before?) when some poor team had to travel back and forth.

For fairness in situations just like this, is there any REAL reason there could not be a week between the semis and the final? Even if for the fans sake, surely it is too high a hill to reasonably expect teams to climb.

Not really, the Bulls do not have a strong breakdown or scrum, two of the Brumbies best attributes. Their lineout without Kruger has not been functioning, as long as the Brumbies attacked better than last week they would clinch this. At the end, the team with the classier attack won.

First time I've seen anybody claim a prop is crucial to the lineout. Is there something going on here that I don't understand?
