The Chiefs have earned an advantage by winning more games than the Brumbies.
So for winning their conference the Brumbies prize is a away trip to SA at altitude then back to NZ within a week.
The Crusaders prize were a home playoff then a local derby with the Chiefs and if they made it past the Chiefs they would face a Brumbies side coming back from SA?

I am going cross eyed here

Thanks Captain Obvious. I already outlined that. I'm noting the advantage has proven to be impossible and therefore not fair.

It is not impossible. It is difficult.

The Chiefs topped the conference. It makes the table mean something when there is an advantage to the team that tops it.

It's the toughest challenge in world sport. It's unfair. I know Chiefs earned top spot but the history says this is impossible. It's not a fair contest.

Get real Zander, you've obviously never heard of the Tour de France or the Hawiian Ironman Triathlon, to name just two. You really must stop smokin' that stuff!

Wow! Great performance by the Brumbies to win in SA. It's gonna be tough against the Chiefs after all the travel but Jake White will come up with a good plan. I can't believe I may have to dust off my old Brumbies Super 12 jumper (from pre Force days) and give it a run this Saturday.

Go the Ponies!

Time to make this a national issue fellows.

It is Aust vs NZ. Forget about the Franchise crap. Be True Blue.

Brumbies are traveling EAST. I say again the Brumbies are traveling EAST.
No way a week is long enough to sync the internal clocks. They are stuffed

Are you suggesting the Brumbies can do it if they dope with EPO or some other undetectable drug imported from Canada?

The Brumbies travel plans look like this for the week:

Get home Monday arvo
Train Tuesday
Train Wednesday
Go to Sydney Wednesday night
Fly to NZ Thursday
Captain's Run Friday night
Game Saturday

There's talk they'll name the same side. Worked last week so why not do it again since they don't have any injuries.

With not much sleep. Your body makes up a hour a day. If they had another week it would have been a different story

I do know the Brumbies have worked closely with the AIS on a number of performance issues and sleep is one of those.

I kid you not, the Brumbies installed bunk beds in the old cellar section of their clubhouse and use it for sleep during the day. Sort of like back in Kindergarten when you had a post lunch nap. It seems to be working well.

Rassie, the Brumbies have two things in their favour: 1. Jake White, who is experienced in team travel of this nature, and 2. they have the ability to call on two experts at playing elite-level Rugby with little or no sleep, namely Mr J O'Connor, and Mr K Beale!

The problem is that your body still think its day when its night. The light-dark cycle is the principal time cue for resetting human circadian rhythms. I bet this game going to be in the night as well or just after sunset correct?

Its a syndrome with no cure other than a week recovery, pissing and crapping during the night. I so want the Brumbies to pull it through but the human body have its limits. And the guys who been hosting the finals have made sure they make things as difficult as possible even before the game have kicked off.

The Classic one in 2010 was the Bulls resting their players took a defeat from the Stormers then moved the game to higher altitude with a fresh team. Stormers were doomed right before kick off.
