Bloody Ruskies. Nothing by half measure from Moscow.:)

Could be a very late night. Foxtel better cover the final and not stick to their schedule and cut their coverage at the previously scheduled time to go to the 2014 USA Intercollegiate Lacrosse draft.

Moses has parted the waters, play continues. 17-0 to NZ at HT. Sky meanwhile showing 2010 game in Brisbane, and no live feed on RWC website

Edit: FT 17-0.

Poms beat Kenya 12-5 so
Mens final AB's v Poms
Womens final AB's v Canada

If rain continues, games will be played with life vests. To give some context to this, think back to the test at Eden Park in 1975, pre-drainage.

^^^ or Coogee oval at the Wicks vs Woodies on Saturday.

Good to see female match officials for the Womens games. They seem to be reasonably competent, deserving of their time on the big stage.

Alex Ianyushkin, the Russian 15's halfback from RWC11 looks like the coxwain of a Rowing 8 when he was presented with the Silverware after their final over Japan.

Our girls are now on and dealing to the Soap Dodgers in the Plate Final.

and some silverware is finally bound for the Castle St Leonards Trophy Cabinet in Rugby Central as the Womans'plate is ours by 14 - 5.

NZ women take out the final! 29-12 over Canada. Epic game, considering the conditions. Kudos to Canada, who are steadily becoming a powerhouse in the 7's.

Men's final HT NZ 21-0 over Poms

Edit: FT New Zealand 33, Poms 0. Completely stuffed the Poms in every area.

Lets add this to the RWC men and women, the women's 7's world cup, and of course, IRB sevens men and women's!

Tim Mikkelson and Kayla McAlister pick up respective 7's player of the year awards

Don't mean to bang on about this but where is the crowd? We were told that over 100k tickets were sold for the 3 days. Be lucky if there are 20k across the 3 days.

Someone needs to come under some heat.

Perhaps the IRB should have put focus on this rather than reviewing Horwill's citing,

I agree, the crowd was terrible. It looked like 5,000 at best! Russia clearly shouldn't have been awarded the 7s WC as they don't care about it at all.

The 2019 RWC crowds will be poor. The IRB needs a dose of reality.

Yeah, I think you're right. They will be relying heavily on international supporters but without considerable attendance by the locals, they will certainly struggle to get anywhere near to filling stadiums.

disagree. japan crowds will be large.
easy for western expats in asia (of which there are many)
easy for australians
easy for kiwis
easy for pac islanders
relatively easy for south africans
brits will go anywhere

they will get better crowds than NZ did.
