Sit down & shut up? I've yet to attend a game anywhere where I've been told to shut up.
Been told that at suncorp. Must admit I just given the Kiwi in front a gobful for constantly standing up to look at the crowd behind us. but Sit down and shut up or an escort out were my options.

I can understand people baulking at the price of Platinum tickets, but come on at least at Suncorp - there's not a bad seat in the place! $95 for a bronze ticket! What's wrong with that?

I'd much rather go to a game against the Lions than the AB's! I don't enjoy sitting anywhere near kiwi supporters during a S15 or international game. Win or lose! Last year at the Bled and Reds v Blues in the Semi the Kiwi's near us were escorted from the premises! The atmosphere at the Lions will be awesome. Anyone rem AUS v IRE at Suncorp a few years back?

Feel the 2001 Gabba test is the best game of rugby I've ever seen, despite us losing. Was yelling and jumping so hard dropped my work mobile (old nokia brick!) into my beer and killed it. The tourists were unreal in their support and half the Wallaby supporters just sat there in bewilderment. Never again! Will be there with bells on, may not be platinum but will try to get the best tickets possible.
Aim to be at Reds, Wallabies in Brisbane and maybe the combined country games, if I get a break from the farm. As a side played in the subbies game that was the curtain raiser before the Reds game that tour, and it was simply awesome in front of that many people. Very special moment - hope they do that with all the games.

The ACCC need to have a good look at Ringo Starr's price.
This is an ARU rort - there is no justification for having the Lions at $100 more than the AB's.
They are not actually interested in seeing to it that there are as many Wallabies as Lions supporters: which is really what it should be about.
They just want the money.
And we at grass roots level see very little (if any) of the money generated.

did you enjoy that Lions match last year? How about the year before that? And before that? and that?

12 years before games. The best of the Eng, IRL, SCO, WAL. I think it justifies a premium ticket.

Platinum tickets at the 2012 AFL Grand Final at the MCG were $390. Every one of them sold.

bear in mind the concerts go for a tad more than 80 minutes
If you think this is a 80 minute experience, you are mistaken.

At the last Sydney test the fun started on the train to the stadium a few hours before the game with the Lions supporters in fine voice.

Then it was to the beer tents, then a wonderful rugby match, then back to the beer tents (the only way they could break it up was advising us that the last train was leaving).

Great crowd, great atmosphere, my only concern about the ticket prices is missing out on a ticket.

No mention of the wonderful viewing experience at ANZ.

No mention of the wonderful viewing experience at ANZ.
I had (late release) vision impaired seats for that game. Turned out they were on the goal line in the NW corner and were brilliant, much better than most of my mates whose seats were somewhere above Rhodes. The Harrison line out was just in front of us. Only part of the field we couldn't see was the corner of the in goal. What a game and Christ I drank a lot that day/night (bearing in mind Rosehill opened their gates to anyone with a lions ticket). Even ANZ is a great stadium on occasions like that.

Seeing I'm not allowed to post a thread I had to find somewhere to ask this.

Israel Folau is just about to announce a move back to League via Parramatta.
Waratahs crying for Talent as is QLD,REBELS and particularly the Force.
It is a British Lions Year...there is noone in the Wallaby set up that can catch a highball. Folau is renown for wanting to explore new avenues and is one of the biggest drawcards in Football in any code.

Why didnt the Waratahs/Wallabies know about this and if they did why didnt we get him..???????.....AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGH

The Waratahs are already loaded with outside backs, no thanks.

He'd take a few years to get used to the code, especially being out of the NRL for 2 years.
