Hoskins pushed up in scrum - Argies shout 3 !!! should come off. Too tall.

Oz get down to Argie 22 - but - holding on.

17 minutes to go. Commentators have not mentioned Newcastle test yet.

Allan F looks most likely as a runner - thought so.

Oz scrum on Argie 25 - chance but lose ball.

12 minutes to go. Argies still better in wet.

Oz penalty down to Argie 22. Last chance? No, they knock the ball on. 4th lineout lost on own throw.

Tiger land how is it old fashion forward play when one team just kicks a ball and the other true to run but losses it because of the wet. There hasn't been much forward play at all. Just kicks. Sat night springbocks England will be old fashioned brilliant forward play. This isn't. Apart from the argentine scrum

Another chance on Argie 22 but Oz knocks on.

Argies break and hack through in Oz 22 but earlier knock on - lucky.

Guess what - Oz spill ball again.

Oz scrum walked back again. Hoskins good around the park but is like a periscope in the scrums now with the 2nd half Argie front row on.

Argies in? TMO says yes. Argies win. Well deserved.

The Aussies would have wanted the win as much as the Argies but they played as though they wanted it more.

Looks like the winner of the Oz v France match will get 2nd place, unless Scotland beats the Argies (unlikely) and no losing BP to Argentina, but will they have the best 2nd place record in the 3 pools to get the 4th semi spot, against (likely) the Kiwis, as happened last year?

They have to win and score 4 tries to have a shot. Critically the Argies got that 2nd try so Oz couldn't get a losing bonus point and it's likely that other 2nd place teams will have at least one.

The Oz scrum deficiency in the wet after oranges was a big drawback and was the genesis of the 2nd Argie try.
