2007: GPS comp and Schoolboys

Seeing as i wasn't interested in the fortunes of the australian and queensland schoolboy comps in 2007 i have searched all over the net for photos, match reports and videos of the 2007 season.

Some of these links have been deleted such as the photos and match reports on 15manrugby and some photos off of flickr.

Anyway the point was whether anyone could inform me about the season, mostly interested in the queensland GPS, the schoolboy championships and the schoolboy test matches. Or to provide additional footage,photos,reports.

Also does anyone know why Joe Tomane hasn't been playing for the titans recently he started the season off with a bang

I was at the tournament and posted on it extensively in the Oz section of the TSF. Maybe you could join up there then ask the moderators how to access the old stuff from the Oz section which doesn't exist any more. Some of it may be on Sportal also.

All I have left is my programme. There were some good names in the Qld team: James Slipper, Jake Schatz, Matt To'omua, Luke Morahan, Aidan Toua and Ben Tapuai, but the star of the tournament was Joseph Tomane on the left wing (though he wore the 14 jersey). We knew even then he was going to league and I still think it was a pity; he had a wonderful tournament.

I may have written some of my pieces on Word and they may still be in an Acronis backup I did before my computer crashed a couple of years ago but I don't know how to retrieve the stuff. I'll give it a go in the next week or so if you are interested, but I'm not sure I did any of the tournament on Word as that may have been the year I did a daily report from Canberra from an internet cafe.

I think James O'Connor was also in this team. From memory, the stars for Oz against the Kiwis were Rob Horne and Talalelei Gray. Other players from the Oz team to play S14 are Fitzpatrick and Sipa Taumopeau. Mark Swanepoel from the Force was also in that Oz team.

Yes JOC (James O'Connor) also played for Qld that year and even played one game at flyhalf. Swanepoel made the Oz A team initially but he was on the bench for the big game v NZ. JOC (James O'Connor) was on the bench also.

That was a great game v NZ at Hunters Hill. All the lads played well in coming back after they fell behind IIRR, but Rob Horne was the Oz MOTM.

As for my employment: I retired some years ago. My wife is grateful for the rugby season as it gets me out of the house.

Yeah thanks guys any info is appreciated I have been searching for footage of the matches that year and have found very little which is a shame

I have only seen Joe Tomane play a little bit of league and the Aus schoolboy footage I posted earlier

There was alot of info on 15man rugby which i read a little of but it got deleted and I haven't been able to contact the admin guy to see if he can retrieve it

Who on earth is Ben Evans? and why is their an entire video dedicated to him?

I think he is Luke Evans the TSS 9 from 06's brother.

Luke came over to play for Bryanston in England and I believe that is who Ben Evans is playing for in that video

The video is helpful although I think i have exhausted the resources
